An icon in the planet list would help greatly if you don't want to name those planets like that. Also, adding a sort function in the planet list is not a bad idea either.
Agreed there needs to be penalties for pursuing multiple ideologies at once. Otherwise your people will be getting very mixed messages from their leader.
I don't think that they will have a mixed message from their leader, you know, people (and maybe aliens) are a mixed bag of good, evil and neutral things and you cope with that every day without having a mixed feelings (most of the time, of course) because you l
Good idea but bad implementation because of the game mechanics. Two phrases: cultural domination and invasion. With invasion the idea is clear: you cannot invade a planet that is not in your "wish list". The problem is that, unless you become able to destroy a planet or have other ways of disabling a planet, that planet will be an untouchable planet and advantage/disadvantage to you (specially if you go for a conquest victory, becoming impossible because, well, you cannot touch
The wheel is similar to the RGB wheel in some programs and, in those programs, they add the option to write in some text boxes the numbers of the RGB code. So, a way to ease those people who want to put a specific number you could always write 60, 20, 20 and the wheel is updated automatically without having to spend "hours" moving the wheel.
Although this post is not for discussions about ideas (What I wanted to do in that post was to expand your idea rather than discuss it), I'll answer your post and, if you want, we can create thread to discuss that idea further . I think that a fleet of freighters and disguised units won't work (unless you have far superior technology) because , well, it's a fleet of "harmless" freighters and some "not so harmless" freighters. Just remember that a fleet
-Q-ships: freighters with concealed weapons that patrol your trade routes and lure enemy ships into attacking them.
Good idea but, would not be better if you can, instead, assign escorts to freighters (based on your logistic)? A single ship, unless it is big enough, is very susceptible to fleets and doesn't work too well as a trap (My fleets destroy enemy freighters as seconda

Sorry for the large wall of text, you can read my conclusion at the end, but if you wish to see why I concluded that you need to read this nice wall of text. :D The biggest problem of 3D maps it’s the memory usage. Yeah, right? With 2 Tb in disc and 16gb in ram, how my pc can't hold a 3D map? Well, your computer is not the only one that uses memory, you also use memory. It is easier to remember where is Webber II in a 2D space rather than in a 3D one, even from an "overall p
I have noticed a pattern people speaking their imaginations without thinking about how to the ideas are phrased, or implemented. It makes putting ideas in five lines or less very difficult. FYI to those who may apply. DARCA
Good point. Would not be better if we agree in a format? Like: "Your idea in five lines or less here in quotation marks",Your explanation of the idea outside of quotation.
Other ideas -Spies cost (if using the actual system) determined by the number of actual spies you have waiting and doing other stuffs (if you use them to neutralize other spies or conquer a planet with a spy in there the cost should be reduced since they are no longer available). -Spy interrogation: if your spy “neutralize” an enemy spy and manage to capture it alive you can obtain one of the most basic information: “who sent you” (a chance contro
Dar-ca means dead life in old Cappriem. The name was taken by a simi-organic drone prototype with a embryo that grows with the mechanical body. Which slowly evolves into a sort of cyborg. (there is ALOT more to it but that's the basic concept.) twelve thirteen, is the unit number. The name is in capital letters because it's not yet alive, and capital letters signifies drones and clones from the living. (
Why should we need to ask for the developers to design weapons for us? My idea is, if we have a ship designer, a weapon designer should not be that off. - Make the weapon tech tree more oriented to weapon parts (for example, laser: energy core Mk I (damage+), prismatic lens (precision+), nitrogen cooler (fire rate+)) and passive damage increase (5% laser). An example of two possible laser cannons: A medium laser cannon “standard” would be: An energy core + pri
DARCA, you're right, (by the way what does mean DARCA?). every people has a different meaning of what is a good game and everyone should be heard. And that is why is better to ensure a high degree of quality while, at the same time, trying to please everybody. But my point was (if you were referring to that) is that to have the most ideas implemented in a game at least they should think more or less in the same way that a developer does in term of gameplay. Everyone here can share a story
There is a lot of nice ideas in this post and I only want to point something out. There are ideas that looks really nice on paper (e.g., pocket universe/dimensions) but in practice is a little hard to come up with a way to reduce the time spent in those features in game. (I’m not writing this to discuss pocket dimension or other ideas, it is just to make a point) Lets say, if you play in a small or tiny galaxy taking care of a second dimension would be feasible and not bothersome, but i
Here is one idea, I think is best if I describe it as a tech-tree rather than a science theory, sorry for the large wall of text. Medium planet terraforming for mining: “After understanding the basic of Habitat Improvement we devise a way to terraforming the surface of a medium size category cero planet for mining; small planets are not worth the effort and bigger ones are too dangerous” Cybernetic miner: “Robotic miners might survive the hazardous envi
My suggestions: 1) The ability to choose if you are an organic life form, cybernetic life from or a mixture (cyborg) in the custom race option (aesthetic change and some dialogs, even maybe diplomatic relationship with some races, like Yor not calling you “meat ball” if you’re a cybernetic life form or despise you utterly for dirtying the pureness of the machine (cyborg)) 2) +1 to parallel research, I’ll love to assign % up to 3 different researches (ma
