Have you seen the money from wealth improvements? It's straight up, and its what most people research and pursue because they know it and trust the results. I have witnessed your point and saw it does make money like trade routes, but wealth improvements also increase morale early on in the game which is another reason to use them instead. If tourism was tied to morale or made more noticeable I think it would be a great element and I would incorporate it into my wealth based strategy.

He needs to update the article, its out of date and technically misleading because it came out yesterday and we are near beta 3. He should have consolidated his notes at once instead of writing as he was going like a writer should. He said the designer was not in because he was writing what he saw from the main menu, and did not correct himself when he started playing. Yes the game is awesome. :)

I think it's known that while zooming on a object while clicking it, or anything similar can cause a screen freeze but the mouse is still movable and the game still is working. I have had this happen and its repeatable for me. I've actually memorized the menu layout so I can shut down the game regardless of the screen freeze. :) While having this happen over and over without fail, I noticed that not only is it for ships that you click on, but all objects such as black holes. K

We don't really know, ir at least I don't. They were a dynamic fun part of making a race in galciv2 so I would assume something loved and liked would come back. DARCA ;)
Is it possible to create another ability, one that gives food or population percentages? Maybe then add it to the race configuration file, or farm techs?

Have you ever held a little baby hard drive in your hand and thought about its future? They want to be in a Microsoft product, not apple. :) And if you actually took a look at Android you'd see why they are better for what you wanted. :P
Assaults get it the best part of the deal. They are lower on the firing priorities of ships and attack the attackers...sorta like defense already. I'm going to make alot of those. There's still so much hidden stuff, and more things a want go rant about but I will stop here. :)
I mean its not just a randomized map, you start with a AI built empire. So for...80 turns of simulation the the AI is colonizing, building, and researching on its own. After that time you take control to see what you have and what the other races have. It would always be different and challenging. IMHO.
