Was recently playing GCII and got an idea. Instead of having your first explorer ship be called your flagship. Have each empire build their own so called flagship, which would be more powerful then a regular ship and would gain levels and abilities similar to sins of solar empire capital ships. If your flagship gets destroyed you have the option to rebuild but would loose influence points and if you kill an enemy's you would gain some influence points. Each empire

Here is an idea. Why not have every race start out as a minor race but give the known major races the extra advantage like starting with a better home world . Then once you reach a certain stage you get upgraded example once you colonize a certain number of planets. The slower races or minor races would have to reach a certain threshold or number of planets to become a major race and possible have it voted on by the other races as to allow them to become a major race.&n

One small little wish list item I would love to see is the land battles for control of the planet. Have it a little more detailed and not just about numbers being the winning factor. For those that want to skip on it leave it the same but at least up the graphics instead of just two clashing armies facing off with the numbers bar determining the winner. For those that want the option have it a little more played out.

I do remember a game in GCII where they had some minor rebel race form some kind of faction and you would loose planets. If only they were aggressive like a major race they would have given me a good run. I think having a minor race evolve would add some new twist in the game.
