If you don't like it don't buy the game until release and purchase it at it's normal price. Then you won't pay more than a normal game, won't have to deal with alpha issues, can buy DLC whenever (if) it's released at cost. Also producers don't completely change a games concept once it's in alpha. Galciv 3 won't suddenly stop being a space game. And I hope they change it whenever they have updates

Personally, I'm a little bit on the fence about it. I don't dislike it, as much as I'm ambivalent about it. It's most likely because we're only playing a third of a game right now, but to me the Ideology system feels irrelevant, I guess. The way I view the ideologies it seems like good is all about influence victory, neutral is about tourism (if I remember right, I don't have the game in front of me), and evil about conquest. I've tried each of the three br

The squeeky wheel gets the grease, I suppose. I agree with Voqar that is does seem silly to be providing feedback when, like Brad has said, almost everything will change by release. But if you have a proposal or suggestion I'm sure the devs wouldn't mind you posting it. They're trying to make the best game they can, and if there's something about it that you don't like aesthetically or functionally, then why not speak up and say something about it? They probably wo

If you look at this post on the development of Galactic Civilizations over the years you can see a list of features that are going to be in Galactic Civilizations III. If you've played the Alpha, you'll notice a lot of things on that list aren't in the game yet: United Planets, Galactic Resources, Galactic Events, Ship Design, Combat Viewer, Cultural Conquest, Asteroid fields*, Invasion tactics, Fleet combat
That would actually be a great way to differentiate playstyles: benevolent benefits in the long term, malevolent reaps more immediate and local rewards.
I agree wholly with this statement, and I hope that's the direction they ultimately take the ideologies.

It sounds like it could be the font not being properly installed, maybe? You could try following these steps , and see if it helps you at all. Best of luck!

BUGS -Planetary Tiles sometimes disappear after deleting a tile improvement (i.e., I can no longer build an improvement on that tile). -Governor's Wheel tooltip does not always add up to 100% (+/- 1%) -Planet names visible through mini-map (but not the info panel directly beneath the mini-map) -Changing options in game settings sometimes automatically sets resolution from 1680 x 1050 to 1280 x 720 on game restart. Do I not also need a download or something? As in, perhaps, some files installed on my PC into which I input the serial # ? Like, maybe a link to some kind of file?
You have to activate the key on Steam. If you don't have an account, you have to create one. Then, when in Steam, go to "Games" along t

AFAIK, mining asteroids is disabled right now (I think it has something to do with the galactic resources not yet being included), but I'm sure they'll give you back your space miner when the time is right! :)

I don't know if this is working as intended or just a tooltip problem, but my wheel will occasionally add up to 101%. Really enjoying the game, by the way. The whole development team deserves a hearty pat on the back for some outstanding work.

As excited as my inner-child is by the mere idea of tactical space combat, I don't want to see it show up in Galactic Civilizations 3. I think being able to establish your fleet's stance (e.g., whether they're aggressive, defensive, passive, etc.) and the inclusion of a leader caste, who provide passive abilities and/or bonuses to fleets, could add some depth to the game, but I would much rather watch combat resolve itself with the tools I've given the game, then click through
