Hi I played like 1 year before and I forgot how to edit a manually. There was somehow the possibility to change pretty everything .. like % of nebulas, amount of ressources and so on and so on. As far as I remember it was possible to this in a xml file or something similar. The new Map editor is still pretty useless. sry for my english, I dont know how to explain it better. Hi.. since I read, that there werent made many changes on carriers, could someone please explain me, how I can disable carrier components in the .xml files? This shall not be a discussion about OP or not OP, it's a matter of taste and I dont like it. I am just searching for a friendly person, who can explain me this in an easy way. Regards, AB

is there a way to disable carriers? after reading this discussing, carriers are still a gamebreaker. I dont need tons of decissions in a very cool tool to customize hulls, when carriers are the only true decision. that is dumb, they should nerf the moduls to balance carriers

Yea, they are overpowered. I have no problem to deal with AI using carriers, but it just makes no sense to build other ships and even the dumb AI understands this. Its like its completely senseless to research weapons and use them. Thats why I dont like them.

Hi For me the absolute game killer is the OPness of Carriers... All you have to build is Carriers and even AI builds only Carriers..... can someone tell me how to skip or disable or carrier tech? I know where the files are... what do I have to change? Thx

I want to make my list bigger with one wish: Please nerf Carrier Modules! 3 different weapons and defense systems? Lot of modules for your ships? Everything doesnt matter, because you destroy the whole gameplay with carriers, which are overpowered by far.

Yea... my list will only contain things already said: #1: AI improvement on every level - difficulty impacts how intelligent AI is working, not just bonuses which are just cheating. #2: I really dont like to read, how many ppl play the game and find it too easy (mostly by rushing in the beginning). I am not a programmer, but I really dont know, whats the problem to solve this. As far as I see, the morale penalty has a much greater impact on big maps, than on smaller maps and the reason is, that there is a hard cap, a number of planets when your Empire starts to count as a "Large Empire" with the "Large Empire Morale penalty". Playing patriotic is not a real solution. I played on a insane map and besides the problem, that my game is crashing when I try to save it (after 400 turns =( ), I
