Interesting. So each tile has a "% land" value, and the techs all actually mean "can terraform >= X% land"? I still think that you should be able to know these stats if you want to, but it's not a 'casual' feature. Maybe something like if you hold cntrl then it'll tell you the tile quality when you hover over a currently unusable tile?

I don't know why they removed that feature - I found it extremely useful. Until you have the tech, you don't really have a way of knowing which tiles it will be able to terraform. Planning where to put your high-adjacency-bonus improvements and which tiles to terraform in what order is a pretty bad guessing game right now.
