Hey gauntlet, thanks for the reply. It's a shame you cannot add a scroll bar function - my mouse does not have a scroll wheel as it's an older model logitech trackball mouse (as it's the only one I can actually use without being in agony) so I guess I'll have to make do for now. So I started a Galactic Civilizations/Brikwars Series - with Brikwars themed races. [video]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ACgtuKoYzGc[/video] Lemme know what ya'll think as it's the start of a new series. The first three episodes are a little quiet but it is an issue I've fixed for later episodes.
Basically, for a future DLC pack (about the same price as the current map maker) would we be able to have additional interface theme colours that are not linked to factions? Additional map themes would also be appreciated, along with additional ship colours (as I know ship styles will be included with later expansions which will assumedly contain other races). Another appreciated DLC that I would certainly like to see is a materials/textures pack that would add in more surface text
I have to ask because this mod will likely become one of the most popular mods for the game - how do you plan to desplay these new colours in game? Will they simply be extras added to the existing list, or will there be a selection or creation tool for those of us that want to make something horrifyingly garish?
Just designate the middle monitor as your "Primary" under whichever graphics settings you are using, then unlock your taskbar and move it to another monitor as you would if you where re-positioning it on the same screen, lock it again and voila - gal civ plays on the middle screen and you still have access to your taskbar, start menu and programs on the other two screens. TL;DR - it's what I did on my setup, except with just two monitors.

I got to 16 using a custom race with the Thalan tech tree, gia vortex, elerium defence shield and antimatter generators - it helps that I built the shrinker on a +3 military tile and then I got the +1 adjancy bonus galactic event. It came out as a total +75% bonus on top of the existing Thalan bonuses to capacity, and I chose the capacity trait at each stage of the tech tree - By the end of the game my Frigate class vessels had more capacity on them than most races battleships and
I annoyingly managed to solve my own problem, I had to delete the entirity of the Gal Civ 3 file folders under my documents to do so - but the game now works. Lord only knows what the problem was, but I am now knee deep in the campaign. Thankyou for offering help Publius, it didn't really amount to much, but at least it got a support ticket lodged and someone out there was paying attention - my thanks old chappe.
This is a major, major disappointment to me - ever since the beta 6.1 opt-in I have been on and off able, and then unable to play the game itself once launched and I cannot pin down the reason as to why. Basically, I launch the game - it loads, I pick the campaign at any difficulty level and i ejects me from the game and back to windows - I choose to start my own custom game as any race, under any settings - and it ejects me from the game and back to windows after "Loading

Since the beta 6.1 opt in I am finding myself unable to play a game after I start it - I can scroll in and out and move the map, but If I post on any starting planet, ship or stardock the game instantly crashes without giving any explanation as to why. It does this on any map size and type, with any race - on any number of settings (i've tested randomly to see if it was due to my custom civ settings but it is not) without explanation.
