I've created a Mod_ImprovementsDefs and a Mod_ImprovementText. There is one item in each. My custom faction is using a modified version of the Yor tree and my new improvement replaces the Manufacturing Yor improvement. I ran the game and the Yor version is still present. How do I make it so it uses my Improvements? I cannot find any pointers in the TechDef xml file. What files controls that aspect?
This is a beta game - you should expect bugs such as this in a beta game. Yes, you paid Stardock to be a Beta tester; this was a choice you made (not Stardock). This particular bug is very frustrating and I won't be testing again until it is resolved; but it isn't any reason to get unhappy with Stardock over (for that matter it isn't a reason at all to be unhappy about! There are more important things in this world and a game shouldn't make you unhappy!).
First off, I do not know which version I am playing on. I have Diplomacy, but the game shows .50 while Steam says the latest version is .51 and it doesn't try to update the game when I run it. The bug I'd like to report is that I no longer have the option to select and put to vote Repeal: EPA. While not 'game breaking' it takes the fun out of the game as EPA went into effect at the first UP meeting so well over half of the galaxy is un-colonized.
I'm not upset about the EPA itself; I think it is a neat idea and it has helped me dominate in the current game I am playing. What I am angry about is the fact that I cannot bring it to a vote to be repealed because there is no option to do so. I can only bring a vote to apply the EPA again......when it is already in effect. It is utterly annoying.
