As You can see, I told my ship to go to the edge of the range, in order to explore. The AI in charge of determining the movement decided to move it out of the way of the dust cloud, and outside of the indicated range. This was done correctly, however, since the turn before my survey ship found an anomaly to increase the range of all ships ('Breath of Fresh Air'), and the range of the ship should go to the edge of the system, as opposed to what it is now.
