If you can't get any mods to work, this might be an issue to take to Support. Do you have any non-alphanumeric characters in your username? Any spaces? Is your system a standard english locale? There might be issues otherwise (though I haven't experieinced any, it's still worth checking).

The Raw values are from your production (note: production != manufacturing), distributed through the Govern screen. 10 population will produce ~10 production. If you split that into the default 33/33/33, that's 3.33 raw research. Other bonuses, like approval, tech and starbases affecting Production also affect this. The buildings then provide an additive +% modifier to that raw figure. The adjacency bonus is usually just more +% bonuses - [b]hover over a building an
Meeting races with 2 planets, 10 colony ships (not going anywhere), and 70k credits.
Hi. I wrote my first mod, but it doesn't work and I can't understand why. I wanted to add a racial characteristic to increase the size of the planets. In the selection window of race appears PlanetClass +200%. but it is not working. Mod text: RaceTraitDefs.xml Planetquality1 <br /
This might be a silly question, but have you started a new game since you installed the mod? Also, are other mods working for you? There used to be an issue with the game not being able to find the Mod directory, but that should be fixed.
When you finish a game, it automatically gets uploaded to Metavese. If you cheat (using the console, etc) then it gets uploaded, but doesn't show in any of the rankings.
I'm trying to get the Despecify mod to work and I'm not having any effect. I've downloaded the latest version, moved the files to ../mygame/GalCiv3/mods/game/ but when I test it out my first specialization locks the others. Also I don't see a basic tech tree, I started testing on a custom race with the basic tech tree and thought that might be the issue but I tried again with the Terrans but got the same issue. &n
You might not be able to click on them and press the delete key, but you can click on them and click the delete buton. :) Though it would be nice if you could delete them with the delete key (amongst other keyboard shortcuts)
Seems like the Modding section isn't quite working properly yet. I already had the idea to move my mods into that section, but couldn't even force it to move.
Seilore is correct for T1 and T2, but I'm not so sure about the Unstable and Heavy Gravity worlds - I'm fairly sure they're (going to be) just special ones (like Serene, Ghost, Shielded), not extreme. I may be wrong though. EDIT: In the manual, it says they're extreme.
Easily done. There are (at least) two ways to do it: 1) Modify GalCiv3GlobalDefs.xml add: StrategicRepair Ship Tiny <BonusType>
If you quick-build from the main map, I think I found that it showed and used the correct cost.
Pirates use: Military Global Shipyard Self <
There will be more portraits and logos, etc in the future. One specific one is Jenna https://www.galciv.wikia.com/wiki/Jenna_Casey - she'll be in one of the future campaigns or scenarios. She was going to be in the release verseion, but delayed because they wanted to get her fully animated first.
I also see this. I played a Challenging game through 136 turns, by which point I had met 2 major races. I was at the edge of the map, so I assumed that was why I had met so few races. And then I took a look at their planets. The Yor had 2 planets. The Iconians had 4. I had 13. Slightly confused, I removed the fog of war and took a look. Some races - the Altarians and the Drengin - were actually keeping up with me. Nobody else was even half my faction power - and there
What kind of game do you want to play? What planet settings do you have? It depends on so much. Personally, I like space to be spaceous, so even on the larger maps I don't mind having few players. Similarly, I tend not to play Tiny with more than a couple. Other people want early-game interaction, and to be able to meet dozens of new races and interact with all of them. A "suggested players" for either of us would be meaningless for the other. And then, if y
Unsure if this has been asked before or not. I am in the process of creating a custom Race, making it completely unbalanced for fun, because it is fun to play god every now and then. That being said, I am having difficulties on finding out how to edit the total number of Racial Abilities one can have. I was easily able to edit Racial Traits, but abilities have alluded me thus far. Anyone know how to edit them to have more than ju
I'm trying to make a little mod that allows all the specializations to be researched like in beta ... 4 .. I think .. because overpowered ships ftw [e digicons]:P[/e] I found the tech xml's and I can see what links the specializations together, I just can't find how the game prevents the others to be developed. Is this something build in to the engine and do I just have to ungroup the specializations or
Updated for 1.0 Oops. I'd forgotten to rename them, and to take out that one Drengin tech that has a space in its name >_> Fixed now.
Hello, where i can find These Parts? are they avariable for each Race or are they related to one race? Greets Iridas
There are 7 parts, all of which are categorised as: Terran, Cosmetic, Small, Bulkhead.
The idea is that it's -1 for each ship (so a ship that normally uses 2 logistics would only use 1). Then levelup bonuses give +1 fleet logistics.
There are 7 new parts in the Terran style in the small section. That looks to be the extent of the DLC.
Correct. There are some DLC xml files in the game directory. All parts are: Terran Cosmetic Small Bulkhead
Apparently it's so popular people are buying it twice.
It's implemented now. Restart Steam if you don't see it in the DLC list. Though where to find them is another question.
