I know that the game is still in alpha, but will we ever get the notifications back? Like whenever a ship is built, or when a planet is done building structures, or all of that. Along with that, will the reports also come back, telling us what was built in the turn we are entering?

Okay, found out how to salve it. Just update your graphics driver to the latest version, and it should work.

Upon installing the game, most of the UI text is missing. Here's an image As you can see, the UI text is misplaced or gone completely. This is also the same for the ship and planet screens. Any help?
