It seems that the BETA 2.130 Fix the problem. Can someone confirm my tests?
Have you got an OC on your GPU? Turning mine off seemed to help.
nope, no OC. I test this on my notebook as well (different hardware) and I can reproduce the same problem.
UPDATE: I just test using GPU-Z and my GPU is at 60-70% during a battle, but the FPS are VERY low. CPU is also almost idle. I just notice that if I play for about 2 hs.. the average FPS goes from 30 (at fresh start the game) down to 5-10 at combats. It's definitely some kind of memory leak and optimisation problem. Tested with 3 small ships vs 1 frigate. 15 FPS
Make sure you don't have any tools open, such as the magnifier. Or a web browser tuned to...say ANY media/news website. Those'll suck down any spare cycles you have. Of course, I run Folding at Home client while gaming, and my CPU and GPUs are all maxed out. And GC3 doesn't hiccup for me. Usually in late game on huge maps is when I shut folding off.
I did close all background programs (as alwa
Hello, I have crusade expansion installed, and when I play the campaign, with default ships, all my combats goes to 10 FPS average, and with enough time, the FPS goes even worst. My PC should handle that kind of graphics (its better than recommended spec), but I can't even play at 20 FPS on combat (and on certain tactical zoom levels). I'm not asking for 60FPS, but at least 20-25, just enough to cheat my eyes. You should change recommended specs.. the current ones are VERY m
Map size in current release is dreadful, especially given the number of 'recommended' AIs. For a 'Normal' map, I had an AI homeworld 10 tiles or so from my start. I am using the 'Sol' system and 'Mars' was colonized by someone else before I could even build a Shipyard. It feels severely claustrophobic.
Yes .. that was my problem too.. I finish a colonizer and boom!... another race colonize mars in front of my ships
Frogboy shrank the larger maps back in the 1.9 to 2.0 timeframe, and that carried over into Crusade. There was a mod available that restored the sizes, but it will probably have to be reworked for Crusade.
What was the reason for that? performance? gameplay? I rather like super huge maps like old times...
The current player new msg is always the same (never change)
how can I setup the precursor worlds frequency? I never encounter one in 3 maps. Steam says that the DLC is activated
1) I restart my PC and then the saved files start to work again... maybe the game crash broke something on RAM. I remember that before crash, the transport ship was not present on my shipyard list (that was strange). 2) The screenshot show the capsule that I can't LOOT.
Nope.. all vanilla
1) I start a new mission after 1.31, and at some point the game crash. Then, I can't load anymore this files https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/24797185/Saves-Campaign.zip (it keep saying "loading" forever). I can't use the last save, and any autosave. 2) In the second human campaign mission, I cant collect/survey one module near the center of the map (a bit right/down). It ask me if I want to fight the pirates, but when I click yes, nothing happens.
Can you give us a link to your save game? Use Dropbox or Google drive to share the file [e digicons]:)[/e]
The CPU is always at 40% top.. but the FPS issue is in place when it's my turn, so it's a graphic problem.
Sorry to hear you're still experiencing this problem. Can you download and run the tool below: http://sd.stardock.com/Support/supportToolTest/SDSupportTool.exe Then attach the .zip that's created and send it in with a ticket to support: https://esupport.
Prefs.ini = OK. Already try deleting it, but its not the configs... it's an optimization issue, because it start after 50 turns aprox (when there are lots of ships or starbases). When I press "next turn" it stutter a LOT and the FPS drops to 5 or 13. When its my turn the average is 25 FPS. Other very demanding games work fine at max graph settings and 60 FPS (because of vsync)... I cant believe that the simplified map (far away) can't be showed at 60 FPS min. The only
Hi. Why my games (tested with the last 2 world size) I get an average of 13-25 FPS at turn 50+ aprox (including the most far away cam, with symbols only)? my graphic card should run it at 60 FPS without a problem....
