It's a fairly new computer. 1TB hard drive and 16 gb of ram. Virtual memory.. not sure. Haven't looked at that. but with 16 gigs of ram should be able to play the game without issue
I have browsed the forums and have narrowed it down to the "wait hang" bug. However from playing small to medium sized maps, I have played games up to 800 turns long with no issues at all. Only when I get to the large map size at about turn 300, I click wait, then the game "freezes". Well it doesn't actually glitch to a solid freeze. I can still move around the map, select units to see their stats and such. But I can only do the things a player can do whilst
