Finally!! I can have slaves! I particularly like the descriptions of the Drengin science techs, some of that stuff is priceless. The new tech trees are awesome and its great to see a little bit of character finally creeping into the game... I like the tech trees so far but i feel that there is not huge amount of real differentiation yet, especially when it comes to weapons and defences. I would love to see a return of the alignment driven techs from gal civ2 especially

The other day during a recent game of GC2 (which i have been playing madly of late) A thought struck me about an idea for a relatively easy to implement but potentially awesome addition to the way tech works in Gal Civ and i thought i would share. Typically sci-fi has always had humanoid aliens just because its hard to make an audience become attached to a giant blob of goo as a meaningful character in a narrative. Gal Civ draws allot of its influences from TV sci-fi so its hardly surprising. The main thing for me was that each race in Gal civ 2 had its own relatively distinct personality and to some degree, style of play. I would love to see each race made more unique. I checked the web release on the last issue of the magazine ( http://www.pcgamer.com/2013/10/24/pc-gamer-uk-december-issue-20th-anniversary-special/ ) No mention of Gal civ 3 or even stardock there...... soooo pics or it didnt happen.
