I'd be happy if they just bothered to use fleets... PERIOD. http://i.imgur.com/ZafObVE.jpg Look at pink, the "strongest" military faction in the game. Considered more powerful than me even. Yet all they have is a mass produced cluster of rubbish ships. http://imgur.com/a/FkvpI Meanwhile, here is my biggest fleet vs their biggest fleet. They don't even compare. I got an actual fl

Did that bug ever get fixed with spies? I'm at war with someone, I take their planet. The AI had spies planted on their buildings. As the AI usually makes poor building choices, I decide to just remove the building anyways. Now the spy is permanently on that empty tile. What about the logistics bug with fleets and commanders? If the fleet is about to go over the "unbuffed" fleet cap they don't merge unless you find some awkward way to move them onto the same title in a s

You should give yourself more of an artistic liscence to make them.... well easier on the eyes. Especially since there's gameplay value in knowing what type of star you should get a closer look at first. The yellow and pink ones (supposedly?) have a higher chance of better planets. Considering the map screen isn't someone floating around in space looking at things with their naked eye, but a representation of things that the leader of a civ is probably looking at to see the bigger pictur

Yeah small maps end really quickly. The biggest ones try to kill my PC. Trying to find the best medium map for me still. The whole defying UP mechanic desperately needs to be fixed though. It's basically the AI throwing the game for no good reason. I feel like only the #1 military powers should even have it as an option if they're an AI.
I think this thread is kinda funny. For YEARS folks have been asking for a mini invasion game and here is a thread calling for its removal.
Only because people aren't very creative with their solutions to current problems. Mini game is bad? Must remove it completely! Change it to be better? Nah. It seriously needs to be explained better to the player. Like I had no idea you could e
That's all fine and dandy, but I need strategy help with the game as it currently runs.
If you care at all about the UP. Population = Vote power. Cities are more used for adjacency bonuses more than for driving up population. Unless someone can tell me otherwise the usefulness of hospitals and other growth buildings are dubious at best. If population gets too high moral suffers, and you get penalized in production and

First off, I love the attention to detail. Like how every race has a game fitting icon and even citizens which a lot of other modders ignore. But I've ran into some issues. Any thoughts on making this more modular of an install? Maybe someone just wants the custom races and ship designs. Without changing mercenaries? Or without messing with minor factions? Or really any game rule at all. I tried just installing the document folder but then basically all the races didn'

It was VERY useful in GC1 and GC2 but I've noticed how easy it is for the AI to exploit it in an unrealistic and gamey manner for GC3. To the point of them essentially removing it from the game as a thing that exists. My first game I was still figuring things out and didn't get voted into power. So I had to suffer through some really weird AI proposals, some were alright... others meh. But nothing worth abandoning the UP over. Then later in the game they finally vote me in and no matt

These forums are bugged. This topic says last reply was 23hours ago, yet I go to the last page and see the last post was several months ago. I got bugs to contribute but I'm not sure where to post them now. Did someone post and delete their message or something?

No such thing? That you know of anyway. I like them I just think they should be expanded on somehow. It seems the choice you get when they spawn doesn't actually do anything other than give you ideology points? I could be wrong, but if I'm not I think picking the malevolent option should make them quickly extinct and take them out of the game after you kill like 4-5 of them. Where Prag and Benevolent can options let them run wild. That would easily satisfy you yea? I also thin
I'm yet to be convinced by the 'games are a service' approach being pushed by the likes of EA, etc. I will ask you this -- some people argue that Paradox's DLC model is a quasi subscription model, where the stream of DLC funds continued development. Is that something you would be on board with?
Oh god please no. As someone who's been supporting CK2 since the start, buying every DLC at launch, they have a terrible DLC model. It

Interesting, so much for "recommended 6gb" of ram. How does that even work? Like is there a recommended civ or star limit or is it just purely based on map size? Like would a immense map with rare stars and rare habitable planets be slower than map one or two sizes below with everything on common and double or triple the AI civs?

The turns take forever for me as well. I'm on a huge map and certain AI's just stall while others go really quickly. It doesn't really help that a lot of AI's are perpetually "trading" with each other and completely uninteractable so maybe that has something to do with it. Sometimes shutting off the game and reloading fixes them, sometimes it doesn't. It definitely feels pretty buggy. The only thing that it could be is the AI having to control several hundred ships per civilization. B

Oh dear lord that was it? Stacking them on one tile? Didn't even know that was possible... that is pretty unintuitive. Just confirmed that it worked myself and it's like night and day. Thanks a lot for the suggestion! It makes war much more enjoyable. I really wish this game had some sort of civopedia for things like this.

They seem pretty bugged to me. I had 15 legions invade a homeworld with only 5 defending and no matter what they'd always beat me back. I tried softening them up with multiple invasions bombarding or poisoning the planet each time instead of doing one big invasion, still lose. It's like the first invasion 99% of the planet dies, and the last 1% becomes Sparta and refuses to die. The blue bar, tech, and numbers are so far in my advantage it shouldn't even be a contest. Eventually I just hit th
