Is that even possible or are downloaded ships usable only with custom factions?

I know about the need to subscribe for the workshop ships while being in the game and I do get them to download to this folder: G:\Steam4\steamapps\workshop\content\226860. Where are they supposed to go in the GCIII folder structure so that I can see them in Download when I go to the shipyard? I did ask about this on the Steam forums and I followed the suggestions there, but
