A schema file (.xsd) describes how a data file (.xml) should look like, and what values are acceptable. They also define what the program (GC3 in this case) will accept as valid input. Therefor you should not edit them -- which would be pointless anyway and possibly harmful. Their primary use for the modder is that you can check what value is appropriate at which xml entry. Creating additional ship (cosmetic) components is done in the ship designer, where you can save a group of selec

@ TheFunMachine If you mean that the ship / shipyard is not properly centered in the shipyard list image, and/or not centered on the galactic map tile, then the problem might be that your origin cube is not in the correct location relative to your design. See my <a href="https://forums.galciv3
I remember reading not so long ago there is a switch you have to add to the steam launch to get the game to re load textures and the likes on game start that will allow the use of custom height maps. Increases load times though. I think it was on the steam forum, but, could have been here too.
I think you are talking about the / atlasgen command line switch.

You do NOT need physical access to the car to hack it. See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MK0SrxBC1xs This is a hack of last year, so i hope that the demonstrated security hole has been fixed in the mean time. What is worse is that the documentation for adding both physical keyfob (aka marrying them) and remote access keys (think license keys) are widely publicly available and the procedures are ridiculously easy. They ar
1. Apparently if a shipyard has finished a ship and it should be launched at that turn, it does not get lauchned if you reload the autosave. Instead, the ship stays in orbit of the shipyard without any notification. I play bigger maps in many sessions over weeks and in the course of the games I sometimes find all kinds of ships in orbits of shipyards that should have been launched.
I bought a new monitor with IPS panel and LED backlighting (HP EliteDisplay E242). Picture quality is very nice. Picture also seems stable without flickering. However my eyes became tired. I lowered brightness and contrast, but it didn't really help.
It might have nothing to do with any perceptible backlight flicker, contrast, or brightness, but with the colour calibration. When screen colours are 'off' your brain corrects this without you noticing it,

You can't do anything about it, but wait and hope the unit will leave of its own accord. In a dev stream Scott himself said that he hates it when allied units blocks roads and outposts, and are hanging around your cities blocking you. So they are aware of the problem, but when a fix will be forthcoming i have no idea.

Creepy Cranial Crawlers of Creative Chaos After touchdown all our colonists were infected by an indigenous airborne microscopic larva. These larva once settled in the brain of the afflicted grew into tiny millipede-like creatures with elongated claws that hooked themselves into the cranial mass of their hosts, making it exceedingly hard to excise them without damaging the surrounding tissue. These - lets call them - Mindpedes secrete a substance that massively al

Funny Fumes All over the planet vent holes can be found that emit colourful sparkling gases into atmosphere. These gases when inhaled or in a lesser extend on skin contact seem to have hallucinogenic properties. Further investigation indicates that the hallucinations are universally benign. Our mental healthcare workers are ecstatic about these gases and demand more research, since it appear that a number of mental illnesses can be successfully treated with

The same 100 hull mass, decrease the component mass by 20% gives a mass of 8 → resulting in space for 12 (and a half) components of mass 8 . No real difference so far. But now take 30% instead of 20%: 100 hull mass, increase it by 30% gives 130 hull mass → gi

Our landing scientists believe that over time the planet might develop a harmonious bond with the people whom dwell within its sphere of influence.
