Er... I agree. I would really like to try this. But, uhh, where?
EvilMongoose
Umm... not for me. I use the mouse wheel for the 'Available' and 'Archive' techs.
The changing layout with buttons and stuff was due to my alignment changing to good. Disregard my post (#154) but what are all the errors doing in the debug.err? ~SDC~
I haven't had too many crashes but I've had the buttons and screen go to a different look. The buttons go to a blue white opaque look and hurts the eyes. If I save the game, quit and reload it still is there but if I load a previous save while the buttons are all screwed it fixes itself. I have to load a previous save and continue from there. It has happened about 3 times thus far. The debug.err shows the following from just a simple load and quit. It seems to fail and finding a pa
On the Domestic Policy screen, sub menu military, I would like to be able to make all planets making "nothing" to "constructor" and vice versa. It works for everything else but "constructor". Not sure why but that would be usefull. ~SDC~
Ahhh... I realized I didn't install DirectX v9. After installation it seems to work fine, so far. ~SDC~
When I build the terror star shell on a star base the whole star base disappears from the screen. I can't click on it or anything. ~SDC~
I used a normal attack to conquer. I made sure I didn't pick the other options because I wanted these great planets especially the 27PQ. ~SDC~
I conquered a system that had a 27PQ and 20PQ. But, afterwords the planets were 24PQ and 18PQ, respectively. Why? Race modifications? ~SDC~
I should have posted the event here instead of in a seperate thread but if you look at my thread "Event change" you will see the faulty event. ~SDC~
I also have an event that needs changing. Look at thread "Event change". ~SDC~
Ok, here is the event (with its typos): Most of Semele I is already populated by a vast stone-age life form. In fact, only the polar ice caps are not already used. There are too many to just put them in reservations. What are your orders? 1) Then I guess we'll be stuck using the polar ice caps as our base. They were here first. (-11% Productivity bonus) 2) If we don't utilize this world, someone will. Do you think they will care about them? We'll move them all to t
Yes, that was it. I did it now and it worked on the planet that had resources. Thanks. ~SDC~
Yes, I tried it. I just tried it again. With the same results. ~SDC~
If I have, lets say, 6 planets not building any military and would like all these planets to build a 'battle cruiser' then I would use the governor to switch all planets building 'nothing' to building 'battle cruiser' correct? Well, this doesn't work. It works if I switch planets building something but not the planets that are building nothing. I'm using the Global Military Swap in the Domestic Policy screen. Has anyone noticed this? ~SDC~
Is there a way to save the files to hard drive and installing from there vs installing within sdcentral? ~SDC~
32 sooner than expected. :( ~SDC~
Ya, me too. I thought it was supposed to ship today. But, I'm not complaining. ;) ~SDC~
Nice feature on the military queue. That is going to make things sweet.
Ahhh... now I understand Governors. Once you set a build queue for a particular governor then all planets having that particular governor will have that build queue. You're right mlepinski this is not like MOO2. You could make a governor for newly acquired planets (conquered/colony) and a seperate one for normal producing planets. Not sure if doing that is useful because you have to go back and switch the governor and that could get time consuming on a huge galaxy but useful nonetheless.
This is the same as OS/2's version (I think). I was wondering if the governor would build things for you later in the game without putting things in the queue. Apparently not. I didn't mind it in OS/2's version so no worries. MOO2 is the same but with a smaller queue.
I don't want to have the governor to ignore the build queue. I wanted the build queue to have priority over the governor. I like to micromanage my planets to a point but if you play a huge galaxy then later in the game you would like to have a governor take over the newly created/conquered planets. The build queue is large enough to pick the necessary things to really get the planet going. LOL!! MOO and MOO2 were good but MOO3 is a joke right now.
So, there is no difference between the governors, other than a face. Can you search for planets based on governor?
Ahh... so the governor is just for the planets spending ratios. A military governor spends more on military than social, etc...
Right. If there is no predefined list then the governor takes over. Thanks.
