Attempted to do that, but the GC3 process is not showing to be running. It seems that in attempting to run GC3 the process fails but is seen by Steam as still running. I am wondering if the video configuration of the laptop might be at issue. The new laptop is showing: <table id="hardwareTable" class="table table-striped" style="box-sizing: border-box; border-collapse: collapse; border-spacing: 0px; width: 847px; max-width: 100%; margin-bottom: 20px; color: #444444; font-family: Roboto-R

I have attempted to run GC3 with my Antivirus and Firewall (Norton) disabled. Still not working. In attempting to verify the integrity of the game files, Steam is showing GC3 "running".
I have a new laptop (Dell Latitude 5490) and have been attempting to run GC3. The game has been running on my previous laptop (Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro) without any real issues (limited by memory 8 GB). The new laptop is an 8th Gen i7 with 16 GB of memory. the game downloads and installs without error. When attempting to run the game the game initial dialog screen is displayed, but when selecting Play, the dialog screen disappears and nothing happens. There is no error message. Any ideas?

I set the properties for GalCiv3.exe to Run as Administrator. It is working now. I am not sure which of these steps were required, but it would seem that there was some issue with rights allowing the program to access the save games folder.

I upgraded my computer to Windows 10 on 30 July 2015. While Galactic Civilizations 3 seems to run fine, I noted that my gave saves were not working (Manual or Auto). There is no direct indication (e.g. error message) that the saves do not occur. When starting the game later (e.g. the next day) the saved games listed are the ones last saved prior to the Windows 10 upgrade (i.e. 29 July). I uninstalled and reinstalled GalCiv 3 twice, but the problem remained. I have even started a new g
