I am happy to come out for better sensors on star bases. I do not like leaving modules unbuilt because they are not worth the effort and star base sensors are worthless at this time. I think you should get 8-10 radius at the highest tech level.
I second that! Sensor ships are not the problem it's the star bases that are underpowered!!!!
MrStarTrek, you seem to be asking for a completely unbalanced game, while your answer to those wanting it balanced is for them to not play the game well. Do games not benefit from game play being balanced across the board?
Because there is not a damn thing wrong with sensors the way they are now. No one is forcing you to build a sensor ship, no one is forcing you not to build starbases, no one i
This is the internet; entrenched opinions only become more entrenched. (And the 'pro-choice' loby when faced with a potential change almost immediately resort to calling people Nazis. Classy.) Devs said that diminishing returns is the likely answer, which suggests to me that after all there was a case to answer. Let's see how the change turns out. Let me make myself clear. I am not advocating for people to start their game off the bat building a pure sensor ship. However star bases are not an option when it comes to exploration on big maps. Yes star bases can extend the range of your Civ but my point comes from being able explore MORE of the galaxy I play with a ship stacked with sensors not on how much range I have using one. That being said, I do not use a sensor ship to extend the range of my Civ but only to explore the gala

Missiles and sensors are two different things. That's comparing apples to oranges. Your analogy is flawed.
Now just a hypothetical question: Would you like it if current missiles did 100 times the damage they currently do? And if no, why not?
So your going to advocate we limit all ships to one type missile weapon. where does it end? Some of you actually want a limit of engine modules on ships too, advocating one engine per ship. Why stop there I mean for fraks sake lets limit everyone to one fleet with only one we

Let put this issue in the proper perspective it deserves and I hope this illustration puts it to REST! I did a little messing around in a new game and built a sensor ship with a cargo hull. Stacked with 11 interstellar sensors. The very type custom ship everyone refers to as being over powered with sensors. No techs unlocked. No cheats at all Here i

This whole argument was started on the steam GC3 forums because one player built a pure sensor ship and then complained about it. I am completely against limiting sensor modules on player custom ships or reducing their capabilities. I firmly believe it is a players choice to use them and if you do not like them please don't build one and then come and complain about. I have been arguing about this since it was first proposed on Steam. I want the choice to stack sensors if I
1. Not having the ability to select my own Race and Ships colors at the start of a regular new game. It really bugs me to no end that choosing your race and ship colors is only limited to when your creating your own custom race. This feature should have been added for regular games at the time it became available because not everyone is going to create a custom race but would like to differ their race colors and ship color different than the default colors of a particular race they ar
