I've done something more limited with PHP... it uploads but I don't have the ability to add comments or anything yet. I would suggest checking out sourceforge.net for applications that do the things you need. It's all open-source stuff, so you're free to pick out the code you want to build your own app.

It amazes me that people are incapable of separating political views and online essays from the people themselves. Or that an email warning or removal from a forum or blog site is grounds to threaten someone's life/family/home... I'm honestly getting tired of all the people who can't separate real life from online life. Those are the ones who scare me, they're the ones I can see killing themselves/others because their online persona was deleted/bann
And yet articles like this help keep the whole thing going... it's a catch-22 isnt it? Snarkiness aside, I do agree with your general sentiments. Everyone needs to step back and breathe a bit, and then remind themselves that this is "just another website" Granted it's a pretty cool one with some neat people, but in the end it's nothing more than a web site and if they find themselves getting worked up over it, they're taking it too seriously
I think both sides have some very valid points on this one. Yes, some professors push their beliefs when they shouldn't, but at the same time... suing over having to read the Quran? Come on, that's just ridiculous. I think we need to have our mental boundaries pushed, especially in college. They're not saying you have to believe it, not that you have to discard your beliefs... just that you should be aware of it and try to understand it. If this l
I know I'm late to the party, but I want to throw my 2 cents in Is there only one path to God? I certainly hope not. In fact I find the idea of only one correct path to salvation to fly directly in the face of everything every faith (I use the term instead of religion, because religion by it's nature is limited by human imperfections) tells us about God. God is supposedly in
Heh, I think there may be a great deal of wisdom and truth hidden in that book.... maybe burried under the layers of humor and bad stereotypes. I think most women would do very well to open their eyes and take a look at their guy of the moment and actually pay attention to what he's doing or saying. There are a few things that would get cleared right up. We guys really aren't all that mysterious <img src="../images/smiles/smile.gif" border=
I played KotOR 1 on the XBox and the PC. There were some bugs and glitches in the first one... but nothing like the sequel. I haven't even left Telos Station and I've already experienced 3 crashes where I had to revert to a previous save. Add to that horrible framerates and what we have is a sad excuse for a released product. It's a shame too because if you took the bugs out, this would be a great game. The story is good, the voice acting is excel
It stories like this that make me afraid to buy gifts for women... Glad it worked out so well for you!
What level are you and the rest of the Myth Inc crew now? I've been plodding along with my own guild on Durotan and just hit 23 this morning. I am Zoomba The Morally Ambiguous Paladin... Slayer of Small Fuzzy Bunnies

Shhhh! Your secret is safe with us! I often become afraid at the idea that I might be becoming.... *shudder* conservative *cry* Does celebrating Christmas make me less of a Democrat? I'm so conflicted!!!
I trust you'll understand that I was disappointed that you distracted the thrust & hence importance of my message about freeing the marine. I have put my energy to good use in a variety of constructive ways. But what I need to know from you is what kind of fella comes around another fella's blog, lecturing, and using insults abou
Hi, my name is Mike. I'm a liberal, I voted Kerry, I dislike Bush a great deal, I thought Iraq was a mistake, I'm pro-gay marraige... And I celebrate Christmas. I know this probably comes as a shock to the many on the right who like to lump all of us liberals together as God-hating mongrels who want to remove all references to Christiantiy from the
I wish you guys were playing on my server I know I don't have the time to create an alt and play them up on another server, so I'll plow ahead as Zoomba The Morally Ambiguous Paladin on Durotan Curious: I play on average an hour to an hour and a half an evening during the week (and a fair bit more on weekends). Since I went to my parents for Thanksgiving, I wasn't able to st
I'm another of those silly traditionalists. Don't give me new remixes of classic tunes. No, I don't want to hear how the latest boy band, or some rapper who actually thinks of himself as a musician (yeah... right...) wants to "interpret" or "personalize" the song. Leave the classics alone. We don't need another mmm-bop version of Little Drummer Boy.
I'd start recording conversations with this girl, or ask to speak to a supervisor. It's obvious she has no intention of helping you, and after your last conversation I'd go so far as to say she'll now go out of her way to ensure you don't get that form. Your best bet now is going to probably be talking to someone more senior about it. If she refuses to forward you to someone, go down in person and ask for someone senior. No matter the end
I hate getting the run-around like that. What country is this company in anyway?
Hitparade, your reactions and speech remind me more of an enraged child ("Yeah.... well you're stupider!") than of a grown man who has the mental capacity to actually formulate a real (and civil) response. While you may not find a term offensive does not mean you should not appologize for using it. Calling anyone who serves a "boy" trivializes their contribution by making it sound like it's a game, or a lark, nothing serious. As a comparison I'm su
Despite every attempt made by stores, radio stations and the media at large, I *refuse* to acknowledge the Christmas season until one very important event takes place. Santa goes by in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Once he shows up and passes through the square, then it's officially Christmas time. But until then, I have one thing to say to all the stores, restaurants, radio stations, tv stations and people decorating their home
What server are you planning on playing on? Sadly, my preorder won't be delivered until 3pm today, by which point I'll be several hours on my way driving home for Thanksgiving. No WoW for me until Saturday night at the earliest
No nap unfortunately, I'm in what is oh-so-affectionately referred to as "The Fishbowl" cubicle... no privacy at all. Those few who are here this week are going for frequent walks, visiting the coffee cart frequently... and now we have plans to leave a bit early and hit one guy's family-owned wine shop for the evening
These computers are locked down so tight you wouldn't believe... I can't even install a chat program. No games for me Though I am working on another long write-up game review for World of Warcraft (to follow up my HL2 one currently on the front page)
I've heard from everyone that purchased the retail (box) copy that they only had to be online to initially authenticate, after that they could play offline just fine.
On the UI issue... Blizzard has made the UI almost completely customizable to anyone willing to hack a little XML. There are some top-notch customizations out there already that really improve how everything works and feels, giving you quicker access to just about everything in the game. CosmosUI (http://www.cosmosui.org) is currently the most popular customization for WoW
Ok, it's Monday, the week of Thanksgiving and there's no one in the office today to speak of. All the managers for our department are either on vacation all week or "working from home". It's just me, 3 new hires and 3 consultants, all of us largely twiddling our thumbs. I finished my work for the month last week (a database tool), so all I have today is a b
