Without changing any of the xml code, there should be settings within the game that will allow you to change somethings around. You can increase the scroll speed of the camera if that would make things any easier, and you should also be able to change the UI from being set to "normal" to "large" (assuming that your monitor is able to accommodate the change, which it seems like it can).
Thanks. I had forgotten about the

When playing in ludicrous galaxy size, I find myself constantly zooming in and out on the minimap. However, I play on 4k resolution on a 27" monitor, so I have a lot of screen space to play with. This begs the simple question: Is it possible to double the size of the minimap? Or at least make it 1,5 times larger?
Ascension crystals give additional research to factions with the Ancient trait. But I suspect that you're correct that the AIs don't change behavior based on victory type.
Thank you :-) I wasn't aware of the bonus to ancient trait civs. Since my current civ has that trait, I better start grabbing those :-) Cheers

I very much agree that Crusade is the best Galciv game ever, and even better than Stellaris in some respects (which is really saying a lot). I would think that if you brought Multicore AI and the Multiplayer enhancements into the base game, then those would make the base game just that much better, yet still leaving enough of stuff in the expansion to warrant (maybe even mandate) a purchase for anyone interested in the game. In my current game, I have disabled the Ascencion Victory option, yet I still see the AI grabbing Ascension Crystals. Do the crystals serve any other function, or is it just that the AI is not programmed to change behavior when that victory type is disabled? Cheers from Asmodean
they are aware of the problem, but it does not seem to be a priority issue. Ticket #TPW-396-70987.
Does not seem to be a priority issue. Maybe someone needs to re-prioritize. It makes playing on larger map sizes a nightmare. Really disappointing :-(

Can this be related to some weird behaviour I am experiencing? I don't have crashes - I can run the game fine, but every time I start Galciv III I get the Steam pop-up with the text "Preparing the game to run for the first time"....

Hey Seilore, Thanks for the clarification - good info. Bad implementation by Stardock then. I see no reason why unavailable terraforming projects should appear in the planet's build list. It only serves to confuse the user (in this case me). /Asmodean

I found a planet of very high class (21) that I can't build any terraforming improvements on. It's not special in the sense that it is not hostile in any way...just a normal planet with a high planet class. To go through the options mentioned previously in this thread: Planet is not hostile Planet does not have any special resources that I have sold off There is no construction queue on the planet

Don't you just love coming in to a thread titled "Game has a lot of issues" in which the OP describes exactly ONE issue [e digicons][/e] People really need to dial down the drama.

No...it is indeed extremely annoying. Also...I can't find a way to center my minimap on a spot of my own choice. Is that impossible? The entire minimap functionality as it is right now is extremely disappointing: * I would like to make the minimap bigger if I choose to do so * I would like to be able to center the minimap to where my current screen is Please fix :-)))))
