How's that possible? Literally 100% of every game I've played, my first contact has been with freighters from across the galaxy.

[quote who="Frogboy" reply="26" id="3705065"] Quoting 1Wildcat, reply 23 Will the bulldozing mechanism mean that non-carbon civs can do a scorched earth policy on an advancing carbon civ eventually making it impossible for that civ to expand it's population? Might need a tech or mechanism to establish new or former a
Precursor technology upgrades still reduce raw production to +1.................
Reloading a game resets destination planets for asteroid mines Discovering new precursor technologies reduces your raw production bonus for precursor worlds down to +1
Minor civilizations "refuse to speak with me" no matter what. Are they just not implemented yet? Auto-surveyors don't pop up the reward window when they find an anomaly
I'd be all about this! Not sure how viable/micromanagey it would be to have ALL ships available for slots, maybe it would have to have some sort of "command module" ship part to have a commander/admiral. Maybe restricted to medium/large/huge hulls. If this game had better carrier/fighter dynamics, then we could assign pilots to the fighters. They'd have to be restricted to tiny/small hulls.
Still crashing on load!
Still crashing on game load... 5 hours into an epic game and now it's gone. Gives me the standard windows crash message. Tried loading the previous autosave, it doesn't even give me an error message. Just bam, crash to desktop. GalCiv3 is like the hot but crazy ex girlfriend. You keep thinking you can go back to her, and it's really sweet for a little while, but then she crashes on you just like before and you remember why you broke up in the first place.
Not precursor worlds. I mean the precursor settlement bonuses you get from normal worlds. Like the promethion cleanser and such.
Is there something that affects the frequency of precursor bonuses when settling new worlds? This game must have just been incredibly unlucky. I colonized about 15 planets and got 2 precursor bonuses.
[quote who="zuPloed" reply="5" id="3645777"] This is probably the same bug as: https://forums.galciv3.com/478927 I see this happen to me, too, occasionally (takes a minute or so on large maps to resolve). As for the excessive duration: I suppose you are playin on one of the larger map size, which means it takes longer for this bug to resolve, due to the longer distance the projectiles have to travel (to some
Hello, There is too much guesswork when it comes to the new DLC and the precursor events you get from settling new worlds. Can Stardock add tooltips for the respective good/evil/neutral rewards you get?
Hello, Please do not ask for a save before investigating this, as it happens in every single game, and multiple people complain about it. Very often, on the strategic map, you'll see the battle resolve, then stray projectiles will fly the wrong way, and keep going until they reach the literal edge of the map. This can sometimes take several minutes. Of waiting. Just so you can take your next turn. Your worst enemy? Not the Drengin, the Yor, the Dread

Thank you for letting us rename stars. No longer will I have to try to immerse myself in a galactic conquest fantasy filled with stars named things like "Deez Nuts"
Map maker maps are unusable in sandbox games, I've found. You can't assign specific starting locations. It's just "random human payer" or "random AI." That's.... crappy. It lets you create the Drengia system, but not the Drengin.
Yeah, I know, AI isn't just "one thing." But it really is the one critical missing piece here. Here comes some more observations: Challege: Currently, the only way to lose is to start right next to a "godlike" AI and have them very slowly dismantle your empire despite the fact that they have an 8000 power rating compared to your 50, and they have 250,000 power fleets surrounding your empty planets. They just... can't figure out how to send trans
..Where is the Milky Way map? I have all the others, but not that one. (The one I really cared about)
Totally agree. Need an option to turn off surrenders. AI currently surrenders quite nonsensically. Often times, they say "you've been good to me" and just give you tons of stuff. As if the game wasn't easy enough already.
Hello, Not much to say here but, this bug is still around. If your military power gets too high (for instance, making that game-ending 1 million+ strength fleet) your faction power becomes zero, and an enemy civilization that amounts to a speck of dust compared to you will declare war on you.
Nope, I ordered the elite. The expensive one. Thanks for the no heads up on the star naming - I missed out what I paid for.
I ordered this a while ago, but I haven't gotten any notification about naming stars -When do we get to name them, and how?
