While notepad++ is good for text editing, there are much better xml editor. In particular you can find schema aware editor. For example, intelij idea community edition ( https://www.jetbrains.com/idea/ ) is free and work very well on GC3 xml files, no configuration required. It will tell you in real time if you make any mistake in your file (tag name, order or even content) and it has very useful auto completion (ctrl+space). There are o

It says +50% defense and if you have some adjacency bonus, it add for example +20% defense and the result is 30% defense. This is confusing because the 20% is added to your defense (flat) and the 50% is a multiplier. So on planet without defense, the +50% do nothing. The issue is that defense is expressed in % so you never know if it is a flat or proportional bonus.

Hi all, First I will say that in its current state, the game is ok and has a lot of potential. I really like what has been done with the resources and the tech tree seems quite good (I did not go very far inside yet). First game: ocasional habitable planets, medium galaxy size: after 25 turn I found no habitable planets outside my solar system. cheat fov -> there was no habitable planets in my reach, oponnent had all a few solar system already

I may be missing something, but is there any reason to limit building to one per turn? otherwise I would say just allow to build as many building as you can in a trun and build-upgrade becomes just as fast as direct build in high production case while still allowing faster startup on low production world.

Hi, The picture looks great. I personally like the monochrome and lack of border for non usable tiles. I just wonder how it would scale to 1080p?
