I solved the issue. No error message, and the settings are saving. I disabled my onedrive from backing up the my games folder, then reinstalled the game, that seemed to do the job. I have another question. At the stardock launcher there is a button called settings and an option for edit file settings, when i select edit file settings and error message comes up "cannot find the c:\users\owner\documents\my games\GalCiv3\Prefs.ini file Do you want to create a new file?"&n

I disabled my AV app, and whitlisted the game in my firewall settings. The problems is same and continues.

During startup of game there are 2 exact error messagea that say "Error unable to read data from file", with the options to continue, copy to clipboard, skip, and quit. The game either does not save the settings I prefer, or the settings go back to default settings every time I play the game. Thank you
