That's actually a big reason why I figured it should be multiturn. Its so damn easy to exploit by players. And its just totally unrealistic. There is no way in hell you can or should be able to take an entire world of 8 billion in a matter of a few weeks. Guerillia, hidden bunkers, resistance fighters, militias, and covert ops all with around 200 million square kilometers to do all those in. Not to mention years of digging themselves, especia

M.O.R.E. does seem like it has some pretty good potential but due to the low budget and sky high ambition it seems to me that they will end up with more game on their plate than they can chew. But still nonetheless I've back them, cause you never know... My biggest fear though actually is that they are going to try to do too much and succeed, but it ends up becoming a huge, unintuitive, buggy, micromanagement nightmare like moo3 did. Or turn out to be the exact

If not vanilla, hopefully a mod at least. Which seems more likely, since chances are they have already dumped months into a different system and probably can't pick much from this suggestion if they even wanted too. :c And its probably going to involve 1-turn invasions with multiple redundant invasion options and transport spam.. But with a flashy battle viewer of some sort.. sigh... But we can only wait, maybe they have something amazing up their sleeve. &nb

Right now planetary invasion is nothing more than a place holder for a future system, one of which I am very excited to see when finally finished. However, I'm worried.. Planetary invasion has always been something space 4x developers have such a hard time handling. They either outright ignore it (easily half of the space 4X titles) make it too simple or have little meaning with very little involvement (galciv II, ) or make it so unintuitive and complex the AI an

Trade does need to significantly be touched on. I've never liked the whole "the further the planet the better the income" mechanic. As it always seemed to create very unnatural and unrealistic trade routes where these "trade worlds end up being every colony on the edges of the map. There should be some sort of "network" between colony's. Like making a trade chain which each link in the chain increases the overall income for each planet (link) in the chain, with

Maybe I can elaborate a little more. At the beginning of every galciv 2 Twilight of the Arnor game, you start out with three starter ships surrounding your home planet (not your initial designs you start out with in your ship designer, I'm talking about the ships you PHYSICALLY start with.) This includes a generic Colony ship, Survey ship, and Space Miner. All three of these pre-built ships are always stock (what the game designers designed for that par
I remember doing this early on when I played galactic civilizations two ultimate. You make a template then you do I forgot, maybe it was custom. I never cared to do this seriously, maybe cause it was to hard. What you want is to be able to do this easily. This was only done with the survey ship though.
I know what you're talking about. I've fiddled with it plenty but

That will be awesome too. But what I'm really asking is that I can design the starter ships (either from the main menu or during game creation) so that when the game starts, the miner, survey ship, and colony ship you start with are not pulled from the generic ship set for that specific race and are instead your own designs. Thats all im asking for really

Being forced to start out with ships period always urked me in galciv 2. And since It also looks that way in galciv 3 and isn't going to change, can we at least have the option to design our starter ships at game creation? I'd still love for there to be an option to start out with a clean slate, but since I'm assuming that this is neccesary for the AI's sake I'm just asking that we be given the option to design the starter ships ourselves

I hope they include some sort of involvement by the minor races. That has always been something that bothered me in the galciv 2. I know their votes won't mean much of anything but their vote could be the drop the broke the dam after a very close poll between yay or nay for a certain topic between the major powers.

I may be too late so hopefully this post gets read. ^^ 1. But being a longtime 4x gamer especially concerning those of the space opera type, diplomacy and interactions between alien races and the way this is handled can easily make or break a game for me. Extreme depth isnt totally neccesary but long as the AI can exploit all its parts fully and intelligently I definitely appreciate in-depth diplomacy. But also I demand an even playing field above all else.
