frogboy seems to know his business quite well. I'm not sure posting on the official civ forum about it was a wise move. I'm sure firaxis (regardless of what stage they are at in game development) wants to keep things under wraps. They're publicly traded, so there's all kinds of regulations they have to abide by about information releases.

Agreed, I was thinking more along the lines of gal civ I from the early 2000s (that seems to be the time range of games for current tablets). Furthermore, the capabilities of android tablets will improve over the years, allowing them to play more resource demanding games.

@Bellac I wasn't thinking of phones, but tablets. Agreed that it would not be effortless. I just wanted to float the idea and ask the Stardock guys to weigh in. The PC RPG ports of the two Baldurs Gate games and Icewind Dale seem to be doing well. Likewise, I really enjoy the direct-to-mobile CivRev2, though I can't and don't fault Stardock for not wanting to risk a similar venture .

Question for stardock Frogboy has done an excellent job explaining why Stardock is not currently interested in creating mobile games. I was wondering what the chances were for an android port(s) of currently existing or in production titles?
