I appreciate the attempt, and I think i'm the only one here with this opinion, but to me the quality of the character assets / animation instantly makes me think "cheesy". If the artists had minimal time / budget to make these, I feel an artistic 2D animation similar to what you would see in endless legend would make it alot more classy. Just my critique.
