Cool idea! Wouldn't want to go overboard with this but could add another fun element to the galaxy.
When a starbase is already linked to and collecting from an artifact or source of duranthium/elerium/etc. is there any way for another player to pull control of that resource to their starbase instead? Or does the currently linked starbase have to be destroyed? I'm guessing it's whoever gets there first but I'm curious if say, by building your starbase closer or with increased influence there's a way to usurp control of the resource for yourself?
Sorry if this has already been asked somewhere else but I've scoured (I think) the internet and manual and can't seem to find an explicit explanation. Can anyone help? I just want to know what exactly determines the total percentage voting power each player has? Influence? Population? Both? Does one's diplomatic reputation somehow go into the equation? Thanks for any insight!
