I had an idea I thought was so good I just had to share. A specific game of the month challenge mode. On the first of every month add an option under new game to play the game of the month. It doesn't have to be hand crafted, just a randomly generated map with set game options that is the same for everyone. You can only play it once that month and high score wins. Might have to be online only to prevent mods/save scumming/cheating. I think civfanatics runs something similar unofficially t
