The TEC's titans seem like they should be smaller than the others, as they probably lack the tech to push something the size of the Vorastra into phase space. Still, I agree that the Ankylon is puny, even considering the lore. It's only about twice the size of a Marza, which is pitiful compared to even the Advent's titans.
I agree that the Unity's mental resources and revenge drive could develop the technology they use, given the 10,000 years they've had to do it in. It's not the tech itself that caught my attention, but their overpowering desire to kill off the TEC. The in-game race description for the Advent Rebels hints at a corrupt influence in the Unity. The Loyalists believe it is nonexistent, and ignore the possibility.
