Same issue here... guess GC3 goes back on the shelf till a patch or 1.7. [e digicons]:'([/e]

Had I just purchased GC3 at release, I am not so sure I would have been happy from a value perspective. I thought it was pretty rough to be honest. But, I spent my $100 early and am quite happy: The founder's deal was probably cheaper than the base game and then all the expansions I bought for GC2 (which I did enjoy a lot). I trust Stardock to make the game better over time just like they did with GC2. Trust i
I have an insane game on suicidal where I am pimp-slapping the Krynn [e digicons]B)[/e] . The Iconians are another story so far [e digicons]:'([/e] . Patriotic is not the super ability I thought it was.
I love GC3 and want it to be a great success. But, I think Stardock would be well advised to watch releases like Cities: Skylines. Good workshop integration is a big deal these days. Does not seem like a 1.1 item to me.
Will, I tried an insane map on suicidal with the AIs bumped down to tough. I got a start away from everyone else and they were no issue at all. They are not all dead (only turn 150) but, their days are numbered. An Ancient/Patriotic race is just unstoppable once they get going on a big map.
It would be nice to have "add random unique race". I dislike playing against 2 of the same race for some reason.
I tend to play insane map size with very slow research rate and game pacing. I try to play on the harder difficulties. I just can't cope w/ suicidal difficulty (yet? EVER? ... the bad guys just expand so darn fast). But, I have certainly found that on challenging, an ancient/patriotic custom race makes it easier. In fact, it is not challenging if you get a good start away from the other majors (just the way my play style works). But, on a small map,
If you choose the Synthetic ability, you can also choose Infertile and Poor Farmers for traits even though they don't seem to impact you. Thus, you get a race with 9 trait points instead of 5.
Expose the value metric in trade screens (based on the Beta 2 preview in the stream). Or, make it an option so those that find it immersion breaking can be happy too. I hate having to guess again and again (adding and removing money and items) to fine-tune a trade. If you do a lot of trading, it gets old fast.
It seems like a really easy issue to me. The developers may or may not have reasons we do not yet understand for tech ages. Also, some people like them. So, taking them out would suck. Some people hate them. So, leaving them in isn't ideal either. Add a checkbox on game setup (e.g. Game Settings > Advanced Settings) for "Enforce Tech Ages". The developers pick the default setting (assume enabled). If you uncheck the option, it
