thing abt L4D is that it hardly ever goes to 300+ ping even in a game with 2 singaporean and 2 european players.

Thanks for the explanation Wagnard. As for sly, i think we'll both agree that a smooth game on demigod in comparison to all other multiplayer games is good enough thank you. A quality gaming experience would firstly, too much to ask for and secondly, relative to everyone.

Proxy Servers still not allowing smooth international games in Demigod Stardock Forums

I'm not sure why this would be the case exactly but a ping of 300-400 on Demigod results in a choppy and needless to say, unplayable experience. I find this odd as at these pings, games of L4D, CoH, DoW2, RA3, WC3 and WOW all run smoothly. Hailing from Singapore, I'm used to these ping rates (can't be helped due to distance from the servers) but it is a bit disappointing that all other multiplayer experiences have been enjoyable except for Demigod which like L4D was created mostly for multipl

Well, I've added most of you guys to Impulse. I have xfire but don't use it much. I have STEAM running all the time too so have all the communication channels to get in touch with everyone. We probably just need to choose one and everyone get on it. Ping's bad. Over in DoW2, game runs smoothly even on 300-400 ping. I don't know why the game goes so slow on those pings for Demigod. And I'm talking about playing with US players on all games....even L4D.

Hi everyone! Just got Demigod a few days ago and I've been reading the forums a bit. Glad to hear that there's a group close to home who play as well!! Would make the ping much smoother for sure. I'm trying to get a few of my other RL friends to get the game as well. Hope to see you guys online and on the #singapore channel on Impulse's IRC in-game chat.
