There's no reason why if you are winning a fair fight, somone should get an opportunity to catch up unfairly. You have a fair way to catch up, PLAY BETTER. It's very rare a game is decided over 1-2 deaths unless its the last minutes of the game. TBH, this is spoonfeeding newbies, and ruins competitive play.
No, what ruins competitive play is the runaw
I like the bounty mechanic. Also, the "winner keeps winning" phenomenon is called Slippery Slope.
Heh, my friends and I have always called it winner keeps winning. Amusingly enough, we first used the term to describe custom Starcraft maps.
This game shows an obvious case of Winner Keeps Winning syndrome. What this means is that the players who are doing better get benefits that help them do even better. Examples: -Winning team has more flags and therefore more bonuses -Winning team gets more kills and therefore gets more gold -Winning team spends less time dead and therefore gets more XP and even more gold You then gain levels and equipment that the losing team doesn't have, giving you a bigger a
Indeed, there's not nearly enough sarcasm in this thread given the OP.
I always play with "premade". Especially 1v1. I'm always "premade" with myself. AM I Cheating?
No, the OP said it's against the rules to have teammates you can depend on. This would not be against the rules.
TB-Rain of Ice Erebus-Bat Swarm (get back here, I'm trying to kill you!) Leave it! Though being able to quickly escape while dealing damage would be very nice for TB, it's not something I'd give up Rain of Ice for, and there's no way I'd want Erebus to have it. Rain of Ice is really good. What would be fun is taking Oak's Death Ward. We'd have TB the general, and Oak the guy with useless Soul Power!
A bounty would be a neat way to break the winner keeps winning syndrome that this game displays. I don't think it should be quite so much, though. The syndrome can't adequately be broken with just a single added mechanic, methinks. A single mechanic with a large effect such as this one will either never provide any benefit (that regulus never gets killed) or will end up being too powerful in small amounts (a lot of people will gain smaller, but still significant, bounties, and they'll add up)
But oh NO its some fag thats using a comp from 5 years ago ruining it for everone.
I take exception to that. I willingly have sex with other men yet can run this game just fine at high settings on my slightly dated pc (simspeed 4 in a 3vs3 on Cataract): Athlon X2 5200+ (Windsor) 2GB DDR2800 RAM (4-4-4-12 timings) eVGA 8800GT 512MB (free upgrade after my 7900GT bit it!) Hmm, I just tried a hybrid TorchBearer going the burst damage route. I must say I rather like it. Open with fireball, then hit that quick fire AoE if they approach, switch to ice, fire off an ice storm, then use that shatter one whose name I forget. It gets brutal at the high levels. You can dump some 4000 damage (unmodified) on them over the course of just a few seconds and then chase them with your increased weapon damage from switching to ice. I don't care if they have an HP build
