That's my guess too. Looks like a mod might have to be in order if I'm wanting all 9 in the game, and possibly making the Loyalists into Extremists.

Will there be just the 6 Loyalist & Rebel subfactions to play as in Rebellion, or will the original 3 factions be included (for a total of 9)? I'm curious with how the race select screen is set up in Beta 1.
Initially we had planned to go this route, but it proved to be confusing to testers. As such, you must now choose to be rebel or loyalist during game setup.
Since this route is being taken, it'd make sense to include Random TEC/Advent/Vasari option too.
Is there any plans to update the mod converter to Diplomacy 1.2, or is it included with another pack already?

The 1.0 to 3.0 increase in relationship is quite useless to me. I never research it, even with unlocked teams. Re-allow the Diplomatic victory in locked teams, but scale it so it's not just a set 300. More victory conditions is never a bad thing. Possibly have culture to aid with increasing relationship with allies, with maybe a "mixed culture", which spreads both benefits from research from different culture research. On smaller than Random Medium Large maps, I hardly
I was thinking about that, which would leave me with possibly editing in the different effects. Looks to be alot less work with the great visuals that your team put in.
I have to say that this Mod is excellent. My only qualms is how much research that is available. I normally have to play on Fastest Income and Faster Research to make it feel like the original. Do you have a boiled down version similar to the original research game with the additional visuals/sounds by any chance? I have been looking over the files with NP++ and it looks to be a great deal of time to change it by hand.
I agree that this game is for combat, mostly. But if they actually did add some sort of economic competetion or alternate victory conditions, I think it would appeal to more people, and just might add to the number of players that are currently playing now.
Videos do sound cool. A time lapse of your color & symbol over planets, with the possiblity of fleet circles roaming the map sounds awesome, and could help to quickly identify how your enemy(s) could have fallen or won.
Yeah, they need to give us a victory condition: Standard, same that it is now; Economic, get a certian number or upkeep/sec of Credits, Metal, and/or Crystal; Domination, eliminate all enemy planets or ships. And possibly more. After using only Deleverance Engines on an opponet, and only overthrowing one planet, which was an adjacent to their home planet. I do agree that it's annoying, and this would make alot of us not annoyed..
