The reason that the PS3 isn't way "out-performing" the xbox has been well documented everywhere...Developers are still learning the true curve on developing for the PS3...every generation of games coming out for the PS3 has been better and better. It takes time for devs to really be able to produce games that can unleash the power available through the PS3...it isn't gonna happen in 2 days.
No disrespect to you. I mean this to the marketing machine that is Sony. <
Are you sure about it being a percentage of your present income? As I understand your statement the maintenance cost would change based on income only and not on numbers and types of ships built.
Yes that is it exactly. The fleet level is pecentage of total income. You can see this by rolling the mouse over the credit box at the top. To <a id="ctl00__Content__RepeaterReplies_ctl12__LinkUser" class="hand" title="Cli

The other snag is that it is a percentage of total income. I had my AI boxed into 2 worlds on a quickstrike map. They were still able to fleet up to about 800 or so fleet points. How the heck can they afford to build a fleet that massive on a 2 world budget I wondered. Well fleet upkeep is only a percentage of the total budget not a budget based on actual percentage of unit costs. I just don't think a 2 world faction should be able to build an armada that massive. of course I wa

Or would it be possible to make the bombers need to rearm. The bombers now just sweep and shoot until the target is destroyed and have infinate ammo. I would say that if they need to land and rearm then the damage needs to increase though. But needing to rearm would lower the overall DPS and maybe cause a fleet of carriers to jump in, strike, then jump away. The fighters could stay as is and not need to rearm. All that said I think the cruiser carriers should stay as is. I don't think
To me, the biggest issue with modern DRM is activation limits.
Amen. I will not buy a game with activation limits. I bought one game from Trygames and then learned it had activation limits. I asked for and promptly received a refund. I will not support an activation limit scheme.
At the very least, Impulse’s growing success, I think, is something most people can agree has been very beneficial to consumers.
Well as a new Stardock customer that has been a very happy steam customer I say so far so good. And I hope a little upstart company gives Impulse a run for it's money just to keep you all competative.

I checked out the youtube video of the old trailer. The old models were so different. Maybe we'll get lucky and Ironclad will release them in one of their expansion packs. TEC and Vasari, the early years.

I bought both Sins and Entrenchment knowing it was a pre-order. I just thought it was kind of cool that I could download the beta and play it before release. I'm just playing regular sins now because I want to learn the ins and out of the basic game before I play the expansion. If I had been playing sins for a year, like many here, then I would be playing the beta too.

1 Sins is the game I wished Homeworld had been. I don't like scripted events. 2 No DRM 3 Great community and dev involvement. 4 Factions are interesting and cover most of the Sci Fi stereo types. TEC = humans, Advent = Advanced/Religious, Viscari = Agressive/Alien 5 Nice graphics and interesting ship designs. 6 Micromanagment is minimized

I bought Sins first then got GCII because of the ship builder. It seems that to really have fun with the ship builder you would want Twilight of the Arnor installed because it gives you a ship builder at the start menu which lets you dive right in with all the parts and hulls available. I have yet to really play a game of GCII because I just got it. I'm kind of new to Sins too but in playing the AI it seems that the main goal to win a game is to build the biggest fleet the fastest. I like it,
Of course this is just wishful thinking, but it's the only way to go. I'm doing it. Some games I have to leave on the shelves even though I would love to play them. Such is life.
Me too. I have Earned in Blood still in it's cellophane because I learned it had Starforce on it after I bought it. I also have a small box of SecuROM and Starforce games I will never play again. Oh well. I used to

Good Gawd!! Well keep shoving DRM down our throats Epic/EA/Tages/SecuROM. If it wasn't for you I wouldn't have found great games like Sins of a Solar Empire or Galactic Civilizations II or free games like World of Padman. I TOTALLY understand protecting a developed game. However I will NOT now or EVER buy a game with built in install limits. A built in kill switch takes the cake though. As if trying to keep a game playable was not hard enough just because of technology changes.

https://www.sinsofasolarempire.com/update Login or create your account then you can download the content. I know. Ya'd think they would put this link in the email. By the way don't download the "bonus" update from the email and install it or it will down grade the game to version 1.05.

Will the final version of Entrenchment be separate and playable from the original SoaSE? I would like to be able to play either the original game or the expansions separate rather than like it is now where if you uninstall Entrenchment you kill the original and have to reinstall from scratch. Just wondering if the expansions and the game will be more compartmentalized like say Galactic Civilizations II.
