Both steam and GOG have one sided disclaimers that ultimately leave the user/consumer with no rights. (Class action suit anyone?) j/k However, once a game is downloaded from GOG, it will continue to be playable ... Steam, however, requires 'steam client side' updates which, prevent games from being played in 'off line' mode after a certain time. That is the significant difference. Wonderful music. I hope galciv3 is designed to make adding music an easy thing to do for non-uber modder/users. @the concern about non-founders lack of access to the 'goodies.' May I suggest that after a period of time, say a month, (illustration purposes only), items be moved to a place where all StarDockians may view them?

I feel strongly that there should be opt in / opt out buttons at game setup (or anytime) to [un]enable many aspects of the 'flavor' texts and other info that comes across the screen. Easily accessed option implementation lets more people tailor their game experience.

Just make tactical battles optional for those who don't want tacBat. I think a set up like in dominions, where you issue general commands to your fleet, and order the admirals to attempt to implement various strategic and tactical doctrines, (which come from a list) - then let the AI fight both sides would be wonderful. The various doctrines would become available based on leadership, species, tech developments, and perhaps previous experience.
