Hey michaelwhittaker. you might have figured this out by now, but just to let you know what you actually just payed for was the Elite Founder package. It means that you only pre-ordered the game. For the moment you can only download 4 wallpapers and the fan site packet clicking on the game tab on the top of the site. The earliest access you will gain to the game will be the Alpha Access, hopefully in e few Months or so. [e digicons]:thumbsup:[/e]
The way I see, nowadays most of the games are in multi-language. So if they will make it in other languages, the change has to be as simple as just a click of a button in the settings, or maybe a downloadable language pack for no additional cost at all or simply implemented in a later update. So I don't think that you have to worry about this.
I hope this badge will appear on the Steam account as well, to proudly show it to their community. They have also badges over-there but this one... has real value in it for Me. [e digicons]:star:[/e]

I am pretty sure that StarDock will organize a "best ship design" competition or something later-on after the game's official launch, so We can all shine there with our own precious space-vessel and Us players will be the one to vote for the VERY BEST of the bests. Or even better if they will let Us design some of the ship models for the game by letting Us create and vote on our ideas in Alpha status. Then they would reward the TOP 3 or 5 or so to implement them into the game for
Why would you wanna do that? I rather build a ship what is unique, a "stand alone" model so if others see they will all say that "I WANT THAT!!!" but not because it is a replica, a copycat of others' original idea. I usually don't pre-order games in such an early stage, but this time, for StarDock I decided to do so. Firstly because I trust them that much knowing how great the Galactic Civilizations games were (and still are) back in time, secondly, this 100 bucks, well... never know, might come handy somewhere, sometime. However, yet it is not that life-changing amount for Me, at least not right now. So I rather spend it now and don't think about it later.
I personally had no issue with Steam so far. I purchased many-many games on Steam and Impulse a.k.a. GameStop with no trouble what so ever. But I did purchase the game the next day I got the newsletter from StarDock because They really make quality game and I have trust in them that they will do the very same thing with Galactic Civilizations III. BTW, I am pretty sure that they will sell their future game not only on Steam but on GameStop (Impulse before) and at even more online reta
