Congrats on releasing the expansion, it should sell well, loads of content/upcoming content, great reduction price too! Have a question for you. I want to get the expansion, but not sure where. I gotten GCIVSN on Epic and transfered to Steam. If I buy the Expansion there(Epic, assuming it gets available), will there be a transfer key for it? Or was that more like a SN promo thing?
Flamescreen
Just bought it too, so it's mostly conjecture on my behalf, but apparently Sieges can take many turns, so there could be a starbase/Military Base nearby, high planetary Defences, more ships than your Siege ships can outperform and get to the planet, or any combo of those. That's my understanding how it happens. That might change when I make my first siege ship in game though. The tutorial might explain as well.

Wasn't that part of events in GC2?
I think its to be announced, but most certainly after the Alpha. And possibly after the Beta too. Since its only a text file, there is no real reason for it to be available prior to release.
I hope you incorporate some of the building techniques that Kryo used in Gal Civ 2. Being able able to merge multiple hulls and parts made for a lot of versatility in ship design. His method was far better than the default.
I agree. And also, I have no problem with all the ship parts(used in constructing a ship, not outfitting it) being available form the start. As I believe they'll use GalCiv2 way of not a

Haven't you heard Titan a moon that goes around Saturn contains Methane in all three forms.
Well, actually, no, lol! Sorry, maybe it was on the news and I missed it, cause I dont watch too much tv
Thalans are from the future supposedly, from a parallel dimension from which they time travelled to our own(GC one, that is). But how can you witness the destruction of something and set yourself a goal to prevent it, and do what Thalans did, supposedly time travelling and orchestrating plans to create a time paradox(going back to change their future), if you haven't actually survived? I think you misread something. The
I would like to see a molecular description of the factions, and like what type of genus or order they would be like. I know this would do none thing for game play, but it would be nice to be able read about. 1. Like do they use different amino acids. This is sugars instead of protein. 2, Are they 98% water, or are they some other solvent like. a. methane. b. sulferic acid. c. Am
Well, the word he/she chose was "customize". So I could be wrong and there's no talk about modding there. In such a case, I suppose with time you would just want a faster game with less graphics options. But you would probably have a faster machine too, since I guess that time is not before a year from realease, or close to that. So, in such a case you still have a good performance, even without toggling graphics. Or maybe wait for a "simplified vanilla game" mod(though more possible is a
Quoting Flamescreen, reply 4 Quoting ElanaAhova, reply 2 Well it would be interesting, imo, if for some projects you could research along with other races after a point even if you're basically enemies. As in..."our people are suffering from this common pandemic, or are deeply affected by subspace rifts getting bigger or something. Instead of keeping research for ourselves and face mutual extinctio
The race we know of as Thalans is thought to be one of the keys of the story that unfolds through each GC episode/game/expansion. However which story would that be, exactly? Supposedly we know of Draginol the Mithrilar possibly destroying the universe as is known in GC. And the Thalans are here to prevent it. I had a problem with that statement ever since I read about it. And I just realized what the problem is...it's a logical leap. Thalans are from the future supposedly, f
One suggestion about sharing research projects with another species. Would require they have a peace treaty in place, for at least a certain period of time. (time enough to 'trust' one another.) If trade treaties are in GalCiv3, require a long standing trade agreement as well. Now, should the two species enter into a sharing research agreement, the bonus points accrued would not necessarily have to go to the exact
Second reason valid, but as far as the first part of the first about being customisable any option no one would use is useless. For one I shut off surrenders and most victory options. See I take advantage of options, but if they are something I don't like like shutting off tech trading. I would never use that option. As long as my computer could handle it I would leave options on, but you already said after a few times you wo
Visually speaking and also gameplay wise, games I like tend to look and play like older TB Microprose and spiritual successors, as in MOO 0/1/2, BOF, GC, fans games(BOF2, Star Trek, there is also a German one I forget the name, but started too as a Stratrek BoF clone etc). So I'm deffinitely gonna try Endless Space too(even though its RT or semiRT). I don't like the Randomness factor people mention in forums, but I'll reserve judgement for, after playing. Seems to have a g
It's a good leader pic, imo. Didn't know she will be a dictator. Would be interesting to see if absolute power corrupts absolutely in her case. As for a name...how about "Unified States/Colonies of Altaria", "Unified Citizens of Altaria" or "Unity of Altar"? Dictator's assume such things alot, as in "we're all together in this, regardless of me governing all by myself" and such... Btw, have you thought of titles for her? I propose Grand Mother/Mo
