I really like playing ranked multiplayer pvp
In the context of GalCiv3 ranked wins and losses refer to single and multi player games where cheats were not used. We do offer ranked multiplayer for other games (Ashes of the Singularity and Offworld Trading Company) but there hasn't been sufficient interest in this for GalCiv3. Turn times can get very long so many folks don't play. There are people who schedule meetups to play via the Steam forums as well as
You can switch to the default Steam branch to get the released 1.6 version of GalCiv3. There is also a 1.61 opt-in available.
This maintenance will actually start at 7:00 AM Eastern / 1000 UTC.
Online services will be unavailable for up to 2 hours starting Tuesday Feb. 23rd at 10:00 AM Eastern / 1300 UTC. The Metaverse, as well as Match reporting, will be unavailable during this time.
From your description I'm not sure if this applies but just in case: you likely need to have launched GalCiv3 at least once while online since purchasing the DLC to allow offline mode in Steam. If that doesn't help you please open a ticket with Support.
Thanks for the suggestions! GalCiv3 is using your Steam or GOG friends list. We're working on sending friend invites from within the game. I agree that searching for your friends (with fuzzy matching) as the first results would be helpful. One thing you can do until we get this implemented: Metaverse -> Ladders -> Overall, Overall, Friends. From there you can easily click on your friends' names to view their stats and "Ladders" again to go back. An
I hear it's very swampy there. Lots of alligator analogs too.
Interesting. I am ranked 1,157th. It only tracks the games I did to unlock achievements so far. I guess because most of the time I don't play until I hit the victory screen, only until it is impossible for the ai to recover, then I start a new game.
Yes, only completed games are scored and tracked.
Also, if you complete the same game multiple times (by loading and completing the game again) then your highest scoring game will be the default. Your other attempts will be selectable from the "Completions:" dropdown. You can see an example here . -Adrian
If a separate forum for founders is needed, then at least don`t show us minor folks what we aren`t supposed to read.
Totally agree with you. This was unintentional and has now been fixed. Thanks for bringing it to our attention! -Adrian
Along with all the new gameplay features in Galactic Civilizations III v1.6 your end of game report information is now stored in the Metaverse. Review past victories, learn from your defeats... or study your rivals to see how they play! The data is in the Metaverse section in-game: Click "Metaverse" from the main menu. Click "Match History" and then a game. OR search for a player's name and click a game from their game list. You
Are there any plans to do anything about the scoring system? A score of 0 for that game was a bit rough!
It's on "the list".
Good points Spider! This was actually a cheated game. I used the AI to play for me so that's why it showed up at a "Gifted AI". Normally the player's name would shown instead. The type of victory or defeat is coming soon as well.

Don't worry, it's not a hack or exploit. Asad is actually painfully good at the game. He was just playing as a beginner early on.

The Metaverse, as well as Match reporting, will be unavailable during this time." Could this be an indication of when we might get our grubby little hands on the Beta DLC?&nbs
It is not presently possible to reset your stats at all. I'll add it to our feature request list.
The web edition of the new Metaverse in GalCiv3 v1.5 is now live ! Be sure to login via Steam at the top of the page for the full experience.
The first problem is that the scores for the two ranked games are 0 and 8. I think that 0 + 8 = 8, but my total score is shown as 7. How does 0 + 8 = 7?
The overall score algorithm isn't a straight up average. It prefers players with more games so your overall score is being reduced slightly for having played only 2 ganes.
I wasn't as clear as I

I've had the chance to discuss the Metaverse with some of you in past months. GalCiv3 v1.5 is the first release of our overhauled design that will be shared between several of our upcoming games. I'd appreciate any feedback (good or bad!) about the navigation, ease of finding information, what additional information you'd like to see, and anything else I'm forgetting! The Metaverse webpage will also be gett
