This is such an obvious idea, with thousands of years of historical precedent. What do you do when you're fabulously rich, but not very military, and suddenly find your planets faced with invasion? There should be Legions for hire, with colorful names & perhaps some special attributes. e.g. "Frogstar Death Legions" - a 5 Legion group that fights like 10 Legions "The Immortal Legions" - an 8 Legion group that recovers 50% of its original fighting str

Validating the files always gives the same result. It says that 1 file failed, and will be re-aquired, but then it does nothing about it.
Did the Crusade install and it stalled. Ran it again. seemed fine, but won't run. Collapses after the menu, no messages. Based on another poster's experience, I ran Dependency Walker to find what was missing. I tried downloading & installing all 20 missing DLLs. Then I ran Dependency Walker again. Now there are another 35 missing DLLs! They're all things like API-MS-WIN-APPMODEL-RUNTIME-L1-1.DLL, EXT-MS-WIN-RTCORE-MINUSER-INPUT-L1-1-2.DL
I have exactly the same problem. 20 missing DLL files! Thanks to Dionisus, I was able to identify them. Now to try the fix...
Uninstalled & Re-installed Microsoft Visial C Redistributables 2015. Still nothing. AAAGH!
I have the same problem as Mindful_Viking. Purchased the Crusade DLC, installed it. While it was installing Microsoft VC, the job just hung. Tried again, it says it succeeded. Run GalCiv3, got the "choose a game" menu, pick GalCiv3, window disappears, disk churns a bit, then NOTHING. No game, no windows with error messages, nothing. Uninstalled GalCiv3 completely, rebooted, complete re-install. Same result. NOTHING. </p
