Yes it is a Quadro 4600 and yes they were very expensive. I am a graphic artist, hey, we like to play too. I switched over to this workstation becuase it runs vista 64 bit. My game machine runs XP with a pair of 7800GTS in SLI. I was testing to see if crashes on huge maps were memory related. On a related note. I am having far less crashes since I dropped the settings down to low. My video cards have 768MB of RAM each. That might be why I was only getting mini-dumps after hours of gam

This is going to sound crazy, but have you tried waiting? The screen goes black for a long time the first time it runs. Try waiting several min before doing anything. Hope this helps.

I have dropped everything to low, and still have major mini dumps with this build. Using Quad Core Intel CPU with Nvidia Quadro 4600. Took out the second card so no SLI mode just to make sure that wasn't an issue. I have not totally uninstalled and reloaded due to problems uninstalling. I read in another post there is a way to reload by deleting the original. I'll report back if a total reload works.

I don't want to fan the flames too much, but is anyone getting completly thrown out of windows? Since I downloaded the lastest patch whenever the games crashes I get a bluescreen and the machine reboots. Running Vista 64 bit ultimate on this machine. I used to play on a 32 bit xp, but it didn't handle massive games nearly as well. I will try the XP box and see what happens, but if everyone is seeing the same thing I'll tough it out until the next patch comes out or move on to another game.</p

I am going to guess this isn't it. This is a step in the wrong direction if my machine is any indication. The new one most of use downloaded yesterday is causing dumps and crashes for people who didn't have them before according to another thread. I went from fairly stable to several crashes lastnight. I don't see where mines have been fully addressed. I was hoping to see a patch put up tonight. Thanks goodness for autosave...

The copy you got at Walmart is the original game. The others are discussing the addon which is still in Beta and goes for $9 online. $20 is a good price for the full game, so no I don't think you got "jipped" enjoy. I need to learn to type faster. Looks like I got beat to the reply.
