My feeling is that the AI doesn't value speed highly enough. i have rarely seen it field fleets that move faster than 6-8 speed. In contrast I don't build warships with move of less than 15 (which is still too slow for my liking). Speed matters because the ships can then engage multiple targets in one turn. It is also much easier to move beyond defences and then attack the soft underbelly of the empire. i like the game but currently I don't feel the AI is really much of a

4. You need to build faster ships, I don't make warships that move less than 15, although in my last game I had one that had a speed of 132!!!

Pragmatic has the 3 free ships round ever planet at rank four I am finding this huge. I don't normally build ships until I can build good ones. But when I take this I go from nowhere to strongest military. This keeps everyone off my back for ages. [e digicons]:grin:[/e]
