THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!

Well I messed up with trying to adjust some of the OPTIONS. And now all of my "in-game" texts are unreadable do to breaking up, missing pieces what ever. I would sure like to see a DEFAULT button added to the options menu, which would restore all the settings to their "original" values. (Which I could read, LOL).
I think my problem was the DONE/SAVE choice.
While those suggestions probably work (I haven't tried them yet!) I still would say they ought to implement WASD AND moving cursor to edge of screen. Thanks for the replies.
The only way I can move around the Galaxy is with the arrow keys. Shouldn't the classic WASD also be implemented? Also, moving the mouse cursor to the screen edge is like hitting a brick wall! Also, it would be nice if there was a way (maybe there is, and I just don't know how) to have the "screen" automatically follow one of your ships, as you hit the Turn button. (I am running v 0.40, th
Maybe? I will try again, thanks for the hint.
I just got around to trying the beta today. Saved a game after a couple of turns. After a few hours went back to load it -- NOT THERE. Possible bug or possibly I did something wrong when trying to save. Anyone else have this problem?
It was so long ago I named my star I probably won't recognize it!
It seems it would be useful if one could "right click" on a ship in space and bring up a list of the possible commands for that ship to use. Maybe this can be done already and I just don't know how, but I would like to be able to click on a ship, such as a scout, and then just be able to automatically follow it as it moves across the screen? In a recent test the "bad guys" apparently eliminated my scout ship -- I was not aware of where/how -- is there some option I should
WOW! And I'm not even talking about GC III. (I promise to stay on message in the future). My WOW is about GC II that I just got, and more specifically about the TUTORIALS! I am a great believer in good tutorials for games, and the set with GC II is very impressive. Now, on subject, I know that "tutorials" are something for late beta testing, I would just make the point to make the GC III tutorials at least equal what you did earlier!
Okay, you twisted my arm, LOL. Besides, for five bucks you can't go wrong--and includes all of everything. Maybe it will help me with this Alpha!
Now that was FUNNY. Actually have had fewer crashes (read none) in this alpha than in some beta's I've been involved in. Maybe I'm not working hard enough, LOL.
Okay. I just colonized a planet. I guess I was looking for a "colonize command" in the list of choices and only had visited uninhabitable worlds before. Just now I was able to land on a "habitable" world. I had GC I, but never had GC II (not sure how I missed that.)
Are we supposed to be able to colonize a planet in this Alpha? If so, I don't know how, and the command list for colony ships doesn't tell me?
The in game textual readings are not completely formed on my machine, a GT640 operating D11. OS Win7-64bit.
Bummer, I'm not available on Friday's.
I put "no opinion" mainly because I am not understanding it (unlike OP, I didn't play countless GC II, I had the original, but I've slept since then, LOL). My "real answer" would be I prefer the WHEEL. I think it a cool, space age, concept.
Don't have much time this weekend but just wanted to comment: What ever you did, I now can easily read the various texts, good job.
Don't know if you've changed the font or what, but I am now finding the various texts to be virtually unreadable?
Just leaped into the void. Pressed the Quick Start. Colorful! Of course several things missing but to be expected. Did a quick look at the Research area. Like the layout and detail. Did a "build" (though not sure that was working, not sure how to advance "time"?) Did a "buy" of a scout. Was able to move the scout around some. Note that "arrow keys" do move the view. Suggestion that moving the mouse pointer to edge of screen should al
