Interesting points on the economic front. The one issue with the colony hub is how do you reflect the fact that initially a colony is draining on the overall economy until the colony itself becomes self sustaining. On the rock/paper/scissors aspect of the game, while it is true that smaller, faster craft will have an advantage over large, slow capital ships, what would be wrong with expanding on the current missile/beam/gun design trees? You have smaller, higher fire rate weapons for targeting small craft and, as the weapons themselves get larger, the ships they are effective against are the larger ships. Thanks. Never would have thought about checking resolution in the .ini file. BTW, the SP3 installer apparently checks for fixes that came out between SP2 and SP3 and installs the necessary ones. KB lists the hotfix as an update for XP SP2. It seems to be part of the reason the SP3 install lists a variable size for SP3.

I have recently purchased and installed GalCiv II GOTY edition on my system. I have noticed when I am playing as the Vasani (Vasari?) and save a game to come back to later, it loses the benefits of broadcast communications (extra supply). What happens is I will go from a positive supply remaining to a negative supply remaining of approximately 1/2 of the previously saved positive amount. It only happens with the previously mentioned race, making me think that on reloading a save game, the game is not checking all sources of supply.
