The thing is, if a new way to stop pirates is invented, a new way to circumvent that protection will be created by the pirates. SecuROM was suppose to end all piracy, instead pirates just take out the SecuROM. Every format used today(DVD, Blu Ray, HD DVD) was all advertised as uncrackable.
