Is anyone else having issues with the little buttons for using the workshop in-game? edit: it might be that I just had to start a new game. Today I subscribed to a tiny ship and that is available in this new game file, so... hopefully this was the issue. Edit 2: minus the workshop button functionality (and lack of Steam Overlay functionality in this game particularly), this seems resolved now. Just can't use workshop ships in save states pri

How do we use Steam Workshop subscribed ships? The Steam overlay doesn't seem to work in this game (exclusively), but whenever I use the new buttons for workshop - the upload one works but the other one does nothing. I've already subscribed to the designer ships I'm trying to look at, so I'm not sure what else to try. This is with both [ ] mods enabled (on and off) and with a restart after the patch applied. (Including a restart of steam, an

I've also noticed (albeit later in this save file) that viewing planets, even simply Earth, has begun this oddball behavior of raising or lowering the average Approval rating. It's as though my approval number at the top of the UI is some kind of estimate and that accessing these numbers per planet refines that estimate. Has this been addressed last night // is this even an issue? Psychology sidebar: I wouldn't mind at all seeing an "estimated Ap
Yeah, I gotta say it's pretty easy to settle with the new version. I wasn't a big fan of sliders to begin with, take this well-salted. For the most part, if I'm managing planets on my current Immense game, the projects they use are going to depend on the state of the world, and the state o
Haha Kael's change logs are generally full of typos. It's funny because sometimes he's asked to report typos and the change log is usually the first thing pointed at. Maybe we can dedicate a map to him and change all the planet names to "Era

Still have a little roulette toggle situation with planet icons (from the standard map); often a green shield with no orbital ships, unhappy face over a planet with 100 happiness, etc. As I've had this savefile since 6.1, I wouldn't be too surprised if it's just me but it's worth a glance I figure. After today's patch I'm seeing another little snag: "Quick Battles" only play an animation after I've had a View Battle, and soon revert to no anima

Probably more of a balancing thing, but basically the Immense maps cripple you for happiness. I've conquered a quarter of my map, 184 planets, and it's everything I can do to keep these people from jumping off the bridge. Worth looking into - possibly with a scaling value like with Life Support. Otherwise, the build works fantastic. Er, I guess it works fantastic anyway since this seems like an overlooked situation rather than a faulty one.

VVVVVV Yeah, if I didn't love this franchise like crazy, I'd probably just leave it for launch. Actually this is one of a bare couple games I've let myself pre-purchase in the last few years. To skip that rant, I freakin love this game. Edit 3: No more hanging turns. Starting a new file (as recommended) has seemed to alleviate the situation; it at least put my mind at ease about this being caused by ships needing to be

Just got another one, myself. Turn 247, I created two DMP files (the second because the windows crash process was only 63mb versus the game's dumplog which was around 4 gigs), and I ran the Stardock crash support thingy. So I'm gonna submit that ticket now... I sure hope Stardock's on it. After some searching I found that people have been reporting this bug (or possibly a similar bug) since back in October/November. Anyway, gonna submit it

Every game I've played in 0.7 has had an issue in which a planet is inexplicably named Thulium (number) if it is a Dead Planet (0). This mostly seemed to happen when I clicked around on the map instead of border-panned. I can't imagine these two bugs are totally unrelated.

It can also only be done in your territory. Also, with regard to selecting fighters, you could get a prompt like the
The Kinetic weapons fire nearly twice if not 3x as much as the beam weapons. However they are the 'shortest' range. If you can survive long enough once you get into range kinetics EAT UP anything they touch. Tips: Put 2, 3 or 4 thrusters on your ships. This causes your ships to move MUCH faster in the arena getting you to their targets faster. Load up on Shields first then Point Defense. <br

I just got this bug this morning, first time playing Yor (though it's my third savegame in Beta4). As far as bugs go, this one's pretty tolerable. Worst outcome is that I notice it and have to reopen the UI.

Mine is 0.70.5.0. To ammend my earlier post: I suspect rather that there's a trip in the code that handles unresolved / incomplete actions from units the player controls. In both my hang-turn saves, I've noticed there was a remaining fleet or ship movement that had to be commanded. Obviously this doesn't always cause a hang, however, because I've seen the (Turn) button reappear before after I've assigned post-(Turn) commands during that check.

I believe this is the same issue, and I've been having it too. Raynman I'll go ahead and use that method at some point tonight, as I'm sure it's repeatable (multiple attempts suggest it anyway). Thanks for the links.

Turn hang bugs here; both of them were I believe in the 100s. The (Turn) button grays into (Wait) and the game is otherwise just like I'd never pressed it. I can control my units, change production queues, etc. Edit: I noticed we have a tilde console input and I'd really like to try a command that forces the AI to cycle a turn. It seems to me (perhaps due to a lack of pausing or jittering) that the game isn't trying to cycle the turn - that the dys
