It may be that game doesn't have multi-core support and is only using one core. Just notice that my CPU never goes above 50% when playing the game, and since I am still using a dual-core and have the same issue, and I never break the 50% barrier with it, it probably isn't using the other core.

Hey, not a very big issue since I can use the directional keys, but still this little nuisance is there. I am using a dual monitor set up, unfortunately with the last update, when I try to move the map using the mouse, I get 3 directions, but then on either the left or right side the cursor leaves the game going to the other monitor. thereby, preventing the map from moving. It's nothing big, not game breaking, just f'n annoying with an emphasis on the annoying.
Much appreciated yarlen. Just wanted to go ahead an get my preorder in and support on of the best strategy space sims out there.
Hmmmm, well I have managed to figure out how I can buy it, unfortunately without the discount for being a previous owner. so...from there going to have to figure it out.
Having a wierd issue. I can log in, click the pre-order button on the home page. Get a window that pops up showing the rebellion box, release date Q4 2011, 29.95, but from there nowhere that I can click to continue to purchase the pre-orer. Am I missing something, have they cut off the pre-orders allready, or is there something wrong with the site?
It's wierd, I login to preorder the game, the wondow pops up showing the rebellion, 29.95, release date Q4 2011, but no where is there a place I can click to continue to purchase the pre order. am I missing something or is there an issue with the site?
Glad I'm not the only one with this issue, still haven't seen a fix for it yet. so any eta's on something to fix it?
The game runs great now, hoorah for that. but some game play issues that irk the crap out of me and I am sure others. 1) SURRENDER!!!??? what's up with the enemy players in single player mode surrendering. I can understand if they are on the verge of collapse, but what they do doesn't make sense. I'll have some enemy players hold out until the end, but then others running 20+ stars just up and quit. another thing, the mines.....come on there has to be another way to clear them coming dow
You know I was having this same issue before the last patch that came down the pipe. since then been smooth sailing and no issues whatsoever with the expection of some game play issues but nothing technical. do you have the latest patch?
P.S. have a fresh install and maintained Harddrive.
I got the Entrenchment expansion, for 10 bucks it's really great, only problem is that the game crashes like clock work 4hrs into it. Turned down the graphics (even though I shouldn't need to) but still 4hrs into it get hit it by yes..........another minidump. regular sins plays just fine no issues what so ever, entrenchment......bleh. I am fairly certian it's not my system, here is some dx diag info: System Information ------------------ Time of this report:
I did this solution, but alas no avail....still run into the minidump.
In general multi cores are overrated. in most cases ANY game you run only runs on 1 core, with the exception of games such as crisis which were intentionally made to utilize a quad, however for them to do this they just used sloppy as hell programming making the game run like crap, which is where the quad corrects it. in effect if you look close enough, most programs only use 1 core.
I have gremlins taking mini dumps in my pc crashing out entrenchment, and someone fed them mexican laced with ex-lax, please help.
