in current game playing noted that AI was t'forming at start but stopped as game progressed. same with colonizing .. big push up front and then stops or only does 1-2 new o my 10-20. overall does fall behind in mid to late game but initially does it which might be a problem as instead of blding production research does terraforming if able. Oh well back to playing

In most of my games the AI keeps up until I get a ship to hit the graveyards then since game allows me to create construc/colony ships based on tiny - small platforms and can convert ships get from the graveyard for 100 creds or less I explode. Would be nice if game restricted this feature ... have raised the mass myself on the 2 modules so can't place on the ships until later and later in the game. Oh well I know can just not use .. but it is there and I am weak ... <p

OK tried again and still get the hang .. clean it in steam and can now play .. still showed 8 files as the problem .. oh well guess i'll just clean it every time. Now not saying it is the game as use mods and the cause could be there. Have one more test to do on this as d/l some ships from steam before tried will not do same and try to load tomorrow and see what happens.

have same issue .. watch as loads and reaches 133800K and stops will then drop back to 18852K and hang there forever. Did the steam cache operation and the game loads but when exit and try to go back in same thing happens. Clean cache again and can play again. 1st time had 14 files 2nd time had 8 .. 2nd time was the next day and the files with the timestamp for being bad were the .bin ones. will try later and see if run into it again .. all can say is something has it&

Nice .. I like to research everything .. or trade for it. Now if can have a follow on tech that allows you to keep improving things (prod/money ship features etc) so the tree never ends that would also be nice. ran into this in one strat game, just can't recall which one .. thus research just kept on forever with minor improvements to your fleet/planet (might have been endless space)

redid the custom races and save under 1.2 and all worked .. when used some made before had the issue so I have no idea what might be the cause. So think the check as such isn't there but had some issue with the races and how set up under prior versions. So probably just unique to me and what was trying to do with some of these folks to increase the challenge in the game. Sorry fo raising the issue.

A paltry -700 .. I am at -3400+ per turn and the dang budget folks want me to cut back on the fleet ... never. fortunately I had just done the 3 ships per system and then sold them all off so an over 140k in funds. Minor issue that has occurred for beam weapons ... they have 0 mass effectively after all the reductions got for them (at plasma). I mean on a tiny ship I can get a heck of a kick. Outside of the main game this be the only mod using that impacts

drones worked for me on 1.2 .. but had a group of ships not just survey .. did not ck to see if all got the drones though. Also if could ask for a small change .. doing this for myself .. the 'Lost Fleet' is a real pain. All those frigates and no money to pay for them. I end up decom'n most of them (money is nice though) so was wondering since called lost fleet can you just gen a fleet at the location found say 5-10 ships of all sizes. this

haven't got the msg on the races but have created a couple custom races with more then 5 traits to play against as it seems they do a better job of competing then the vanilla ones in the game. Thus having the saves won't load issue ... real bummer that ... hope fix this gotcha as it was one way had a more challenging game.

Wondering .. have you looked at the changes to v 1.2 in terms of your mod. looks like doing some AI tuning?? have not opt'd in on steam myself as in the middle of a interesting game right now and plan on finishing same.

maybe lease to an internal corporation that results in a trade increase in the empire and thus gets you some more tariff income ... options similar to what can set the planets to in the game available for the shipyards also maybe ... just thinkin out load here ... but need something for them when you don't want to make more ships or can't afford to make anymore.

Point may have already found but the Dur Armor for ships (one after titanium) is at 18 for mass vice 1.8 ... not sure if intentional or not. So far more challenging then base game but still the issue of expansion for the AI player. Created some of my own races to play again and no idea why but they seem to expand more and become a greater threat then the vanilla ones in the game. They do seem to slow down in the age of war though for some reason. tha
