found the answer, and it was so easy. just download EXEfix08.com from http://home.earthlink.net/~rmbox/Reticulated/Only_IE.html "home.earthlink.net/~rmbox/Reticulated/Only_IE.html" run it, and reboot. and all is well Thanks to TonyKlein at winguides.com

i was right clickin word and office files,changing icons. When suddenly one .EXE got the the microsofr excel icon. i tried something through iconpackager, but now all my .EXE files have a blank icon. Anf hen i click on properties they have "type microsoft excel" how do i change them back? here are the properties for it http://non_functioning.tripod.com/exchange/id4.html
Anyone knows where i can find the .WAV files winxp uses, and put them on my win98se?
